IMO to pair up your emperor, I think you better off getting a smaller one.

I can only imagine what it must be like to see a big manta ray.

Just did the Manta Ray snorkel at kailua Kona on the big island. One of the most amazing experiences ever. Bucket lister for sure.

To quote John Stewart of The Daily Show..." Two things...":

One: Those fish are beautiful!!
Two: You must speak fish to get them to eat pellets!!!!! Ive read thats nearly impossible!!

A blue ribbon eel. I will never have one because they are so hard to keep. But they are spectacular. I am never going to have an absolutely MASSIVE tank and that is the only size I would even 'consider' putting one in.

I knew someone would choose this eel; it's one of my dream fishes, too! Along with many of the large and gaudy parrotfishes...

I wouldn't actually buy any of those creatures, knowing I can't provide them with an adequate home, but we are talking about dreams here, right? :fish1:

Realistically, if I had a big tank, I'd want an Australian harlequin tusk, a pinkface wrasse, and a green bird wrasse. Can you tell I like wrasses? :lol2:

As for non-wrasses, porcupine puffers and regal angels do it for me! :inlove: Long, long way off from the big tank dream, though!

Awesome fish guys :)

I'm bumming myself out about mixing Tangs and the Tang warfare that could happen... mainly only being able to get one Acanthurus (Achilles) in the system.

What are some Angels that won't nip at most corals? If something exists...

Femininus wrasse, conspic angel, regal angel. And maybe a moorish idol.

I've seen several gem tangs in tanks and they are really ugly. I used to love them, pics look so great, a black tand with white specs. But when you see them in person in a tank for years they are just brown with yellow dots. At least, the ones I've seen...

would love to see one but they are very rare in the states....

Your 240 should be adequate for 4-5 medium sized tangs. Just avoid the ones that get excessively large as an adult.
