Soon i will be purchasing my L4 ATS from turboaquatics and would love to get a tally with descriptions of each ATS from each person participating and pics please lets find out just how many people are using them. It looks to me that more and more are going to turf scrubbers.
So lets see those scrubbers everyone.

I'm hoping my L2 gets shipped out today! About time to pick up my regal and I'd like the scrubber running before I start stocking fish.

DIY 2 cube per day ATS using the guide in the basics thread. Loving it so far. My tank still has algae but it was almost too far gone and is now on its way to algae free.

Depends on budget. I went DIY, with lights included I have about $75 and 2hrs of work. I couldn't imagine spending $400+ just to grow algae. To each their own...

Agreed as much as the turbo aquatics scrubbers have an awesome look and are so easy to set up, after shipping and conversion getting one to me would have been about $600AUD. I went DIY and including lights and all the acrylic (which is really expensive to ship to me as I am rural) I spent $250 on my DIY scrubber.

I did a DIY ATS last summer and got online in August '15. Absolutely fantastic results. All hair algae disappeared from the tank and it makes managing nutrient levels so much simpler.

Can the OP set up a poll question at the top of the thread?

OP, click on Thread Tools than Add Poll

By the way I did a DIY

Been running variations of the ATS for 25 years. Current version is a DIY waterfall version. Works really well and takes up a whole lot less space than my prior dump-bucket unit.

maccapopeye What kind light you have in your scrubber

rq786 I am using 2 of the 20W versions of this light. They work well but in hind sight the thinner black type of LED grow - flood lamp would have been better as I could then have made the acrylic box way thinner.

I can still cut it down a bit as is because the lights are quite far away from the screen atm and I plan to move them closer as the screen matures.
