Who's using Coralvue Reeflux on their SPS tanks?

I just ordered a trio of these 12K reeflux as well...I'm really looking forward to seeing them on the tank.....

WOW.....my new CV ReefLux 12K SE 250's are much more white than my 175's were.

old 175's - mag 57
new 250's - CV e-ballast

hard to tell....i am using a little window screening, because i went from 2x175W to 2x250W.
I think i'm going to love it though, because my mag ballast really ran these 12k's blue, whic h i was also getting to like alot, but wasn't intense enough.

I'll let you know in 10 days or so, but i think i'll be very happy when they burn in and the screening is gone!

Can anyone offer their opinion on how these bulbs will run and look on a PFO standard ballast? Someone in my house needs convincing before the transaction can be made :D

I'll try to get some pics of the 15k some time this week. I don't know about sanjay's site though, to me it looks just as bright if not brighter than the coralvue 10k. I have 10k on the left and 15k on the right both running off of coralvue electronic ballasts. of course, this is just my eye as compared to sanjay who has a bunch of fancy test equipment. I don't have any proof until I load some photos.

coolfishy......the CV 10K or the CV ReefLux 10K......i can't imagine how the XM 15K is brighter. My 12K's on both first mag ballasts and now e-ballasts are brighter than XM 15K's, so the 10K's have to be brighter.

I just installed 2 x250 DE Reeflux bulbs in last nite which are ran by the EVC electronic ballasts from OceanEncounter. My initial thoughts are that they are bright white with some pinkish purple. I was hoping that I would get more of a blue tint in them.

Will this pinkish tint go away after it burns in or do you think the ballast is a reason why? I was running the Hamilton 14k Bulbs, but my corals got slow growth and the blue to me is almost too blue like a 20k bulb.

thanks.

Any pics of the 12K Reeflux 250 watt? Thinking of switiching out my 14K Hammy's for these...

Here you go. 12k's on both sides.

Ok--I'm ordering them--they look great. From the pic I can tell no difference from the AC and the Reeflux...but that may just be me...thanks!

I switched from 400 watt Radiums to the Reeflux 10Ks about 2 weeks ago. Big change but so far I am very pleased. The Reeflux bulbs are really making the blues "pop". I also like the fact that the Reeflux bulbs are white and not yellow like other 10Ks can be.

Ok--

just received my two reeflux 12k se's today...installed both, only one fired. Called Reef Exotics and they sent me out another bulb to swuitch with it within an hour or so. I'll send them the defective bulbs back.
Insofar as the color is concerned, I'm running the 1 year old 14Khamilton beside it until the new one comes and to be honest I can hardly tell the difference. I also have actinics on so maybe there will be a slight difference when they are off and also maybe a difference (probably) when the reeflux burns in. I'll keep everyone updated.
