Wife wants a pink or purple fish

Here is also peacefull But this fish eats mysis shrimp, dont get the wild caught. Harquilin Filefish.

Lubbocks vary so much. I have one and he's blue and pink and yellow but when he flashes he's neon pink with a dark blue stripe.

Or this one - a nice anthias (search for Pseudoanthias marcia) Yellow, pink and more pink (a darker purply pink)

My black cap basslets got along fine with the angels, anthias, clowns and fairy wrasses. I didn't have a jawfish (or a moorish idol). The purple color is stunning.

I had a blackcap basslet years ago in my home aquarium. Peaceful and more active than royal gramma IME. Very good looking fish. I did not have a lot of tankmates: probably 5 fish in a 125. But he was always cruising his area and not territorial.

Just make sure the tank is covered! They're notorious jumpers.

I feel that way about all fish personally. But I have posted that on several occasions. But yes tilefish are very prone to jumping

I have a Helfrichi Firefish (in my avatar) I love it. Hid out for about a week and now it's out all the time. Its head also glows under the actinics which is also pretty sweet!
