Hi Reef mutt nice piece the branch structure is to dense to be a not elongated enough to be a. suharsonoi my bet is a purple carolinia

zarfish from the pics the corals look good your 2nd pic a. clathrata yellow with pink tip looks slightly bleached but sometimes comes in like that. Usually do 24hrs no light Always do strong flow go with the flow u think is a lot and double it lol then I start med light then go to strong light strong flow

I meant if you find flat worms I give 4 weeks then recheck visual inspect 1 time per week. I get alittle freaked out and baste the heck out of them and usually damage tissue but have not flat worms since I moved 2 years ago

I dip several different dips

usually 1 dip every 5 days rotating dip types even tried (hydrogen peroxide works good as well pulls stuff right off) if I feel lucky every 3 days but hate to be to hard on corals (except potential pest ones)

watch at night after dipping for polyp extension baste off any excessive slim and watch corals that don't react well for shorter bath next dip

For maricultured I stopped cutting off the base and just inspect for pests and damage usually I dip 10 pieces at a time

What's your dip protocol for using peroxide with SPS?.
What strength of peroxide do you use?.

i just picked up some pink fiji table small colonys i really want to make it and keep there color .....we have a joke about the fiji pieces call them the fiji peelers there harder imo to keep then the aussie acros for some reason and do change colors almost every time

I LOVE TABLING SPS colonies!

Tabling acropora corals are the true essence of reef building corals IMO. I will share my wild Aussie colonies. I love acropora efflorescens, solitaryensis, hyacinthus, cytherea

Here is one that I picked up last week. I know it's bleached but I have high hopes for it. Came In a shipment of Aussie corals. If anyone can ID please let me know I think it's going to be purple or blue. Also forgot to mention the pylops are white and thin and it's bigger then a baseball but smaller then a softball in size.

So you guys are saying the aussie variants of wild and Maricultured are more likely to succeed than the Fiji? what particular genus do you guys believe have a higher success rate? by the way you guys have some great looking corals.....

I have had good luck with Aussie wild. But when something swings like high po4 they are the first to show STN.

Good to know thanks for the reply do you have any experience with the Fiji wild acros?

I am moving and will be starting a new tank again so I will have some time before I am ready for these but researching everything prior to jumping back in. Something about watching these acros change from the drab brow outs to what I have seen in this thread intrigues me.

All these corals have been under inadequate led lighting so far. A few look ok but I added 4 t5s to my setup in hopes of getting some color and better growth, so I will have to update when everything becomes adjusted to the new lights.

Wild Aussie, maybe a spath, showing green tips and red polyps.

Pink tip humilis maybe?

Thinking wild monticulosa? It looked good under halides and now bad under the leds, I think the t5s will help this one color up and grow.

Another struggling to color up. Looks like it's going to be a reddish color. Not sure what it is, any suggestions?
Also a nubby green frag from a local guy, which will get blue tips.

Green acro, forget what kind I thought it was, maybe digitate or something?

A beautiful pink and blue Aussie frag, this is the only frag thst survived. Hard to get how bright it is with my phone and leds...

Another wild piece, hopefully gets another color in its polyps or something...

Wild Acropora gomezi. It is solid blue but seems to be a very slow grower compared to my other Acroproas.

just picked this up last week at a local club meet. I am naming it " Tony Romes Yellow Lightning" it has amazing metallic yellow color blue/purple tips with bright yellow polyps.
