I mean the heaters are so accurate i think 150-200W is the biggest they will make them because of the material they use on the inside. I met the owner at a wholesale event and he explained that to me.

Ahhhh I replaced the one in the 180 DT with one of the 200w ones. My temp has been fluxulating and the amps are not staying stead on some of the old heaters. Shows me that it is not working correctly. Plus it was NOT holding the temp when the amps were fibrillating.
The new ones or the old one?
I'm using a DC12000 for my return. It moves a lot of water but there's not a lot of pressure from it exhibited in the tank. Not sure how much flow they will provide. You could probably use one Iwaki md70rlt and get plenty more flow than the 4 DC12000s, but I guess there's only one way to find out.Yeah but I have 4 of the DC12000.... so I am not sure that I will have enough flow... But you live in canada and would not understand about why I have 4 of them...
Yeah I have had three people say that already. The 120 I cant nicely drill anymore in the tank. So for now I will be stuck. I have 3 mp40's I am putting in there anyway.I wouldn't rely on return pumps for much flow in any country. Return pumps are for returning water from the sump(s). Closed loops and/or powerheads and/or wave makers are for flow and should make up the majority of the power required to do so IMHO.

Hey how'd you get rid of those nasty nudis? Have something that munches on them?
That is just about what I was thinking. That is good to hear and understand what you did.Worm, the drain and return idea you mentioned above is the type i went with on my 225. All 4 of my pre-drilled holes are used for drains. 2 are perm. siphon with gate valves and the other 2 are emergency only drains.
From there i run my Reeflo hybrid up the back of the tank and it returns into 4 different sections of the tank, 1 in each back corner and 2 in the ceter about 2 feet apart. Works great and very quiet/smooth once dialed in correctly, once the gate valves are set, no need to touch them, even when return is shut down. Once return starts back up the siphons start and your back to normal.
Great progress man. Are you going with all black walls down there now?
