Here are a few of my sps frags after a few months ....

The pink monti has grown allot but seems darker ...

The birdnest has also darkened and grown slightly thicker ...

Red cap has grown allot in a month but ... the growth seems to be different than the rest of the frag and is lighter in color :wildone:

Just added the green mili

So far looks like some sps look better under leds and some just seem to get slightly darker ...

Been running 160w 16k Maxspect Razor on a 48x24x14" for alittle over a year now. this tank and the sps inside has been seeing LED all these while.

WOW Z,...beautiful corals! What are your photo periods that you run your lights if you don't mind me asking.---Rick

Evolution Z....very nice pics/corals. Exclusively with LEDs? You have only 1 Maxspect fixture (160W) over the 4' tank or 2?

What kind of photoperiod are you guys running? Some impressive examples of SPS/LED loving in here!

thanks!
right now my lightning schedule is 1 hour of sunrise, then A80% B100% straight for 9 hours, then 2 hours of sunset.

Inspiring pictures

thank you!

Well done. Correct me if I am wrong but you have your leds hanging up high from the ceiling?
yes, 17" above water level

Thanks Z,...one more question, did you start you lighting schedule out at your current settings, or work up to it?---Rick

So I'm thinking about dropping my 6 bulb t5 for 2 AI Hydras. Any one have any testament to the ability of Hydra to grow and color up sps? my sticks now are growing well and the color has just started to take off. Also I have 2 clams on the sand bed as well.
