Your experience with Pink Lemonade

I purchased a small frag of Pink Lemonade two years ago this month. It has based out about the size of three quarters, however it hasn't branched out at all. It's in a high flow area. Still waiting for some branches.

If anyone who can shed some insight on this coral that has experience with it, I would appreciate the feedback.

Mine hasn't grow very fast at all over the past couple years, but now it seems to be taking off a bit more. Getting one of the highest flow rates in my tank now seems to be helping.

I put a very small frag in my tank about 2 years ago and forgot about it until now. I just looked and it puddled out about 4 inches and has 6 tiny branches and 1/4 shooting upwards. very healthy though, great poly extension.

The smaller the frag the longer it takes to grow...
here is mine, 2 months and a half of growth, ready to take off, after beeing stalled for 2-3 months...

I agree, mine started off slow, but once it starts to branch out and grow, it really takes off. Mine is now one of my fastest growing acros.

Pretty decent grower....not the fastest acro but definitely not the slowest. Great aquaculture specimen though. When you get the colors nice on this one it can really shine.

I got to agree with everyone, it takes awhile for it to get going but once it gets going and you can get a nice color it can be one of your centre piece!!!

What does "too much light" do to this coral? Bleach it out?

Mine has a distinct green hue rather than the bright yellow shown in some of the pictures of this piece that I see. The polyps are bright pink, but the coral is greenish yellow rather than bright yellow at this point.

I've had acros take a year to base, but honestly this is the longest I've ever had an acro take to base, and still no sign of branches.

to much light? I nuke mine it's one of the highest placed corals in my tank.

If you acclimate it properly this guy does best in high light IMO. If you have a mustard yellow to green its probably not enough light or a lot of nutrients. Might explain the slow growth your experiencing too.

Here is mine under 250 radiums and about 16" under them, this is my second
quickest grower next to #1 Slimer.

Oh and a Tunze 6205 about 20" direct flow to it from across the tank.
