I was actually trying to divise a way to cut a small section out of the end of my "fuge", similar to putting on an external overflow, and then just add an acrylic "spillway" to it, so that once it reaches the level where it is cut out, it goes directly to the display, they would actually be the same height, and nearly touching....may not be able to do this with my big tank, may have to save it for another setup...
Just think it would be cool to have a couple tanks that basically work like those little "fountains" that pump water from the pool at the bottom, and they trickle down through little spillways....
I hope I am making sense, same principal, just using smaller display aqauriums as the little pools, you could keep a huge variety of fish, maybe alternate your "rack" so that there's a tank to right, then to the left, staggering them down to a larger tank...say 5g down to a 29g...
PIPE DREAMS, aren't they beautiful! I don't even have this set-up, and I'm already working on my next project!!
Guess I will go with a 29g sump underneath, and use some chaeto, rubble rock, and sand for it....
Maybe set-up my 20g L for the other, am obviously going to have plenty of ropck to setup another tank!! I weighed it all, I have 191 lbs!!
How much would you use in there, just fill it til it looks good? I want everyone to have room to grow, and swim, just want to make sure I have enough in there for filtration...
