130 X 36 x 36 inbound...any suggestions?

Just tried getting some pics of the 2 qt...the 125 looks great...the geni hybrid, 5 candy basslets, bicolor pair, lemon peel pair, and royal gramma pair are in there...the 2 geni females should be here from Kevin in a couple weeks...
after this 1st attempt the hybrid would not come out...
a horrible pic, sorry...

one of the candy pairs...

the sad pics....
here is the tiny Clarion...I think this is the smallest one caught in a very, very long time...

the baby Peppermint...this was the smallest one Rufus caught last Sept...
the loss of this fish will always pain me...

perhaps the saddest pic ever taken....

big setbacks but we live and learn...appreciate all the kind words and support...

Sorry to hear about the Angels. What in heaven's name are you doing with 5 candy basslets?

thanks...lol, good question...I was looking for a pair...then had an interesting opportunity...I was offered 2 pair that, I was told, were collected together and that the 4 fish stuck together when the diver collected them...just thought that was a pretty cool story...

I assume the clarions fins were shredded by the other clarions in their holding tank...I noticed the same with a few of them...typical with many aggressive fish..

they can be real pitas when small but mellow as they grow...

Man, that picture is depressing, but I admire your resilience Ted. There have been several times that made me want to throw in the towel, but it's so hard to give up on something you love.

Hey bud, yeah, this can be a tough hobbsession from time to time...I hope to have better results next time...fortunately between the two really sad losses of the pep and clarion there were many successful stories and that is what keeps us going...I am now focused on the 2 female genis coming in for the hybrid...

Ahh I see-

On a different note, it seems that a fish as exp as a clarion should be able to be shipped in a manner that is more urgent. I'm not saying that one fish's life is more impt than another. But there is a diff between a damsel getting stuck somewhere for 3 days and a fish that is rarely collected and at that size impossible to find. What about non stop to airport by you in cargo?

Is there any way to establish some kind of higher priority delivery system than one we currently have access to?

when you throw 2 major storms into the mix, it happens...I have had fish sent to the airport that have also been delayed...

wow those pics are tough to look at.

I've been fortunate to have 20+ fish orders and only once I didnt get the fish overnight. It was a Fed-EX screw up and the fish was still doing well at 48hrs. Although they didn't have to deal with the freezing cold temps.
