my lfs got a red sea regal angel I have on hold and am trying to entice it to eat. My QT is a 20 long, its 4-5 inches I just want to maximize success. Thanks for the heads up.
it varies from fish to fish but I would say most fish get at least 2 rounds with cupramine...
careful with her and cupramine and you probably know that prazi often acts like an appetite suppressant so try to get her eating first..
Thanks for the advice. Yep, she's in the observation stage for the time being. This is all occurring right in the middle of a tank transfer so plan to start administering the treatments after the coral/rock is moved from the 20g housing her right now.
I figure the 8-10 weeks it'll take to go through the treatments will be more than enough time to work out the kinks in the new set-up before transferring her over. Still nerve racking for me -- I've successfully kept flames, pygmys, coral beautys for years and years but this is my first attempt with a species some consider more delicate -- hopefully proper QT will prevent the sudden deaths associated with this species.
Again, good luck!
Oh. In addition to my bandit, interuptous, i just added jocular also. He gets lost in my tank though. Hard to find. Hes small.
Ted. I understand the fish have also been kept at 76 in japan. And all are great and eating baby brine. Are you going to change to 76 ? Thats almost tempni run my main tank at. Makes it very easy. Are you goingbto hatch baby brine eggs. ? The frozen ones have very little protein Also i understand they have already been dosed with prazzi. All sounds great to me.
Hey ted. Nice collection. !! I keep way more incognito on these threads...but maybe with these babies it will be hard. Ill let you do all the picture posting. Im not great wih photos and posting. Anyway sounds like late next week. Will be interesting cause im leaving for univ of wisc thurs through sunday to visit and take a daughter to visit. That means my guy yalcin maybe on his own handling this fish. Im way nervous about putting this fish in qt in sterile tank. Im debting straight in to the 90 by themselves with all the live rock. And then observing. If i dont like what i see i can always grab them out. I put a separate inline uv also in the tank along with a separate chiller. Going to keep at 74 Good luck.
24 hours from now you'll be like a kid on Christmas night. Good Luck Huma...
