140 Gallon DSA Build

DAAAAAAAAMN! thats a lot of work! lol good job man. lets get some more fish in there.

LOL yeah some more fish are in order. I've just been waiting the the right fish I suppose. As for the work, I'm not done.
The new LED light fixture is up and coming. I can't wait till all the parts come in so I can get a better idea of what I'm doing LOL.

Hopefully, I'll have all my parts by the weekend. The plan in my head needs to meet reality :wildone:

The light is taking longer to build than I expected...never enough time. FTS comparison will be soon to follow. Here are a few more recent shots for now. Once again, these are taken with flash under T5/LED hybrid:

This little colony started as a random twig I broke off while cleaning the glass a few months ago...with and without flash:

...and here are a couple of shots of a snail trying to clean the clam. It was funny to watch the tug-of-war between the two at first. Now the clam will need to right himself.

A lot has been going on recently. There are some new additions to the tank. I finally added a couple of new fish. I hope that they do well, as things were running so smoothly before my Christmas wrasse and sailfin both hopped out. The new fishies are a mystery wrasse and a foxface. They seem to have settled right in. Some new inverts/corals were also added...in fact, my fingers are crossed for the bubble coral that is supposed to show up tomorrow. Pics will follow, but for now, a glimpse of the light fixture I've been working on:

I finally finished the LED fixture. My corals are going to be thanking me soon. It has been up for two days now, and everything already looks a little better. Here is a before and after shot:

This purple goni has been doing well...In looking at some past pics, it seems that it has grown more than I originally thought. Here is a shot from May 2011:

The location is called Reefworks. It is near Howard Lumber off of Old Evans Road. GPS coordinates are: 33.53663,-82.113418

Bring a frag if you would like to swap. I think we'll probably get started around 6:30 PM. We'd love to have some new faces :spin3:

Ok, i was just making sure it wasnt something wierd like ...

"its in the old abandoned warehouse, down by the docks, come alone, at 11:00, make sure no one follows you"

that kind of thing. :hmm5::eek2:

These guys have impresed me lately. There was a period where they struggled, but they have been in the same place for their duration in my aquarium. here is a shot from when I first placed the m in the tank:

I'd consider trimming some away from my green acro in the pic above. Come on to the meeting and we'll talk about it...and make sure noone follows you :lol:
