I currently have a 175W MH light, by South Pacific Sunlight. I also have 2x15W 18" acintics and 2x15W 18" 10k bulbs. (they came from the original lights on the tank before I built my canopy and went with MH. I just added them in anyway, figured it wouldn't hurt. Anyway, I've been keeping softies and a couple anenomes in my 55 gal atm..Think I will be ok to get a few SPS?

i think you're a little short on light but if you but them high enough you shoud be fine with one or two SPS.

A single 175 won't cover the entire four feet of tank. I'd put any SPS high and in the lights two feet of coverage.

yeah, I know that the middle of my tank has the most lighting. So, that is where I would put it. My tank will remain mainly soft corals but I would like to place an sps or two in the middle somewhere. So, I could probably get away with an acopora?

Stick a Iwasaki 15,000K bulb on it and keep the sps in a 2X2 area under the bulb. You'll end up needing another bulb/ballast soon though to keep a good coverage of the whole tank.
