180G Waterfall Tank Build

Thanks for the pics evo,
That scares me! Is the bottom panel of the tank made from steel or fiberglass? It just seems like a lot of pressure on the center of the bottom panels. As I said, it obviously held for this long, I guess we are all just paranoid :)

What kind of facility was that zero edge tank at? Cool artistic build!

"Dont act like your skim doesnt stink!" LMAO!!!!

I really like the idea of this tank -- Id have a peaceful and aggressive fish only ---live rock pillar / or cover that w/ aragacrete in the middle ----- what a fun tank!

How noisy is it and do both tanks have to be of the same gallonage for it to work

The "waterfall" is a bit loud right now but hopefully in the next week or so I will have the "waterslide" installed. Any size tanks can work they dont have to be the same size.

Here are some pictures for H20ENG
The stand is not as long or wide as the tanks. It hangs over about 3 inches all the way around, it really adds to the look of the tank. Good job on noticing that! The last picture is a negative edge tank I saw on my honeymoon in Maui. And a few pictures of the Waterfall. I plan to have a LFS make a black acrylic "water slide" for it so the water slides down it quietly and does not stir up the sandbed.

My wife and I were in Maui in July. We stopped at the aquarium also. It's a beatiful and large aquarium. They have divers clean there tanks, wish mine was that big than I could have 2 hobbies, aquariums and scuba diving.

Well the tank is done cycling! I got the RODI unit ran thru the roof down the wall and into the tank. I have two fish in the tank already. Only for a few days as their home sprang a leak (a friends tank). Got my reflectors in and I will be building the light rack in the next few days. Getting closer.....

Very cool setup! Don't you love it when you can end up
with a "commercial" item and work it into your home!

I collect old coke machines, signs, etc. and I think the
concept of a "store" display tank like yours is SWEET:smokin:

It's always even better if you get a "deal" on the item.
(my prize coke machine from the 50's was free)

Looking forward to more pics:thumbsup:

That infinity edge tank is in Waikiki Aquarium, I even recognized that convict tang! Unless of course the aquarium in Maui has the same replica.

This build is awesome! I can't wait to see how this turns out. I so wish I had the room to do something like this, the possibilities.......

cool tank with so many possibilities. it's going to look awesome once it matures. tagging along!

Awesome stuff, cant wait to see more of the build. I love the clam tank too... has it gone through one of our phoenix summers yet?
