47G SPS...Revamp

Now i'm sure 100% my dear friend...you are colour-blind!!!!
And now i'm all alone in the brown acro club!Well done and thanks for the support:p
So much for giving you the presidency:(

Tank looks awesome buddy!I love it!
The only thing i'd do(just saying), is that i would make the left island a bit taller with some branches like you did on the right one(which is amazing btw).
But if you like it,i love it too:wave:
Would love to see a close up of that white coral on the right,it looks interesting.Does it have blue polyps?Had one like that myself but i stupidly placed it high in the tank and before i knew it it was "dead" white:hmm6:

Looking great bro, seems things are coming together nicely again?

Will do you and Nav both some frags as things are starting to grow out now and as the system is small I will need to prune a lot to do what I am aiming for.

With regards Zeovit, I use Zeospur2 at half recommended dosage every 10 days and Zeospur2 Macroelements, in conjunction with the advanced elements blocks.

This seems like a fairly low maintainance / low risk approach to Zeo to me.

In my previous tank I have used prodibio with success after being introduced to it by then (Chris @ fishmanfrags) I love the simplicity of the products. Combining that with my calc reactor and lazy man zeo routine, I have found it to be working very well.

Really nice to see updated pics of your tank and things finally turning a corner for you again

Thanks bro. Though my tank already looks like too much corals in there...however nice/rare stuff is always appreciated. :D

Zeospur2 is a very strong product; I dont like the effect; causes Acros to look pastel...though can be useful at times.

So glad to see you getting everything back on track and looking awesome. I really cant give much input on what you and many others have been going through . In my 12yrs. at this incredible hobby I don't know how I have managed to avoid these demons. I don't pray and not at all religious  Just lucky and know it !!

Stay lucky...these bastards can destroy a tank. :angryfire:

Congrats, things are back to looking good!
Are you still alternatively dosing zeobak and prodibio? Regardless, great work
Yeah still dosing both. But missed out dosing for about a couple of weeks as I had been so busy...

Trust me mate, there are MANY brown acros in my tank. Biggles was right in giving me brown acro presidency. However, a few have coloured up no doubt.

The left island I intend to make taller; by growing the corals...I have left one space for a nice stag type acro which hopefully will provide some decent height.

That white coral is 99.9999% bleached...But it has tinges of blue/purple here and there...I got it for FREE from my LFS...I noticed it and TOLD the LFS guy; "I'll have a frag of that bleached coral...the one with the algae on it...it will most likely die, but I will try save it". :smokin: He took a quick look at the coral, noticed the huge hair algae that had landed and caught on it...of course I didnt point that out..."yeah you can have the whole thing for free he says". Brought home and picked the large strand of hair algae off...it wasnt of course growing on the colony; just landed there. :D

I also picked up the Pink Hysterix and and nice sized Setosa frag that day. Only paid £30 for all of that. Score. :smokin:

Photo shows bluey purple colour, but it is an intense and striking metallic purple...love the colour coming out on this one.

Echinata?

Had this one from before...could not pull the intense green and the purple rim. Looks happy now.

This one has blue tips, sky blue and also red/purple corallite rims...but cannot capture the colours as it is right up near the surface.

Speciosia I think. Love the blue polyps.

SSC. This one was butchered by the AEFW's. Lost the red completely, only recently turned green. Its not the usual Aussie SSC but a variant which I like better. I lost my Aussie SSC in my buddys tank.

This hot pink Millepora was absolutely ravaged by the bastard AEFW's. Had a colony...this frag was made up from 3 branches I cut off and kept. It has grown and joined together. Previously it didnt have green polyps...the pink is starting to appear on the corallite edges.

Random yellow/green.

Frag given to me by my buddy. Looks lovely when grown. Starting to get colour.

Blue Tort. Had to nearly 3 years now. Grown from a tiny frag. Despite AEFW's and others disasters which are all Biggles's fault, it is still with me. Tough coral and one that keeps good colour when others dont.

Bought because it had blue tips in the LFS tank and I though it was a Blue Millepora...well it bloody isnt. It has started to get red/purple branches, with a green base and blue tips! Notice the bright blue growth ring too. :)

Other side. It is sitting directly below an ATI AquaBlueSpecial and pulling some awesome colours. I speak highly of this tube, but most people bash this tube and say it washes out colours. Not for me. Given time, this tube by ATI is pretty cool.

Red Planet. This is the 2nd half of the colony I had to break up because it too bloody large to dip. Awesome coral. Keeps colour easily.

And finally an FTS.

I am so glad I stuck by my corals and fought the AEFW's. Corals look happy and touch wood, the AEFW are gone for good. I will of course do a final round of dips for another couple of weeks and then dip randomly after that.

I am happy how things have turned around for the better in a relatively short time.

Awesome Sahin, simply awesome! I love the colors of those millis, and that blue tort!

I've pulled and re-added the ABS 4 or 5 times now. :) It's back in my mix at the very back. C+, C+, P+, B+, C+, ABS

I swear if I bought enough I could go with all Coral+ bulbs and be happy, I really like the color.

Lookingf sweet brother! Glad to see the turn around, waiting on my stuff to color up, it only been a couple of weeks and I'm just glad to see they are growing at least!

Everything is looking great!! Dosent even look like you had a problem in the first place!

Next time you say something is brown :hammer:

Oh man! Looking so good, sahin!!
Beautiful photography as well.
What is the pale coral on the right of the fts?
Your water is sparklingly clear. Do you run filter socks or other mechanical filtration?

No wonder Biggles calls you the "sneaky one!" Oh whoa is me, all my SPS are brown, then surprise, in one hour, they color up! Sounds sneaky to me!

Marty

Sahin, the corals look really good, and I don't feel even a little bad for prodding you to post pics:) I see you all over threads, always looking for information, asking good questions, and complimenting others(other than Biggles of course:wave:) It's time for you to show off a little and I'm glad you did!

Your corals look like they are making an incredible rebound Sahin! They look really great. This will be an awesome looking tank once they grow in.

You're back brother! Very happy for you. I love that rainbow milli. What's your nitrate and phosphate readings these days?

Thank bro. I'm quite happy that the system has progressed quite well in a short space of time. My PO4 was 0.02ppm when I measure it probably about 3-4 weeks ago. I took the PO4 reactor off. The algae on my plate rock has continued to reduce so I am assuming the PO4 hasnt gotten worse.

NO3 is under 0.5ppm. I am going to try and push this up in the coming months.

Awesome Sahin, simply awesome! I love the colors of those millis, and that blue tort!

Thanks man. I love Millepora, its my fav Acro so when that one turned multicolour I had a smile on my face seeing it.

An all C+ with some sort of Royal Blue LED supplement would be pretty nice.

Awesome Sahin, I wish you luck on a full recovery.

Lookingf sweet brother! Glad to see the turn around, waiting on my stuff to color up, it only been a couple of weeks and I'm just glad to see they are growing at least!

Glad to hear the good news. Hope it just gets better from here on out for you.

Everything is looking great!! Dosent even look like you had a problem in the first place!

I agree lol

Thanks guys. But there are brown corals...look at 2nd pic and in the FTS you can see a bunch of brown Milleporas...cant get them to colour up.

Oh man! Looking so good, sahin!!
Beautiful photography as well.

Thanks buddy. The pale coral is like 99.9999% bleached. I wrote about it a page or two back. Got it for free from my LFS as it is BONE WHITE. But I am hoping to turn it into a stunner. Lets see if I can do that.

I like my water to be crystal clear. As soon as I notice any yellowing I run extra GAC or about once a month I run Ozone for a few hours to clear up the water. After running Ozone I carry out a 20% water change and then 12 hours later I add my Prodibio. Seems to work out quite well. I dont have any mechanical filtration.

Looking great sahin!! So good to see everything doing so well :)

You can tell you don't tinker ;) :lolspin:

Haha, thanks mate. I am about to tinker big time with the tank...Just getting some ideas from Dan (Cugly) and will start tinkering with some sort of crazy hybrid Zeovit system in the coming weeks. Hope Biggles dont see this...gonna have a go at me for asking him to quit tinkering... I wonder what Biggles is upto....
