looking good. what are you doing now for Ca and alk?

living where you do what is the situation for you to get corals and fish?

Carl

Just water changes currently, a few months ago I didnt have many corals so there wasn't a huge demand, now things are slowly stocking up.

Wife and I give it the thumbs up.
Keep it going.

Thanks! Pity your Aus trip has been delayed, are always welcome to come around when you do!

That's good to know. Here it is +35°C in summer and -25°C in winter. On a solatube there is only one layer of glass in the top end. Usually a thin layer of glass in a window will allow a lot of heat to escape from the house (very expensive on the heating bill) and you can feel the cold falling off it.

So, if you are not feeling heat through conductivity in your sunny location (Queensland) there's a good chance it won't be a major concern here.

Thx again.

Don't forget tho, Queensland's problem would be that heat does not " sink" to the Tank. But that your minus 25 sinks, and so you will have a MAJOR :mad2: problem if you donot have the equivalent "dual pane" situation on the SolaTube eh!

I guarantee you donot have single pane windows, no problem but you need to plan this.

It was a GREAT Winter Olympic PARTY!

A few more pics of some of the tankmates.

Have a new video too, but it's 135mb so don't want to kill everyone's download so won't post it.

Love it! Thanks again sharing a video. I love seeing that clown tang in a proper size tank

Ya the tank looks great and I'm excited to see how that clown tang develops. If your tank's big footprint, open aquascaping and water flow can't keep a clown tang from going insane, then I'm not sure anyone can.

Yep, he is around 5 years old (captivity anyway) and has never touched a coral.

Really? It looks full grown but not as big as I would have thought - barely larger than the PBT.

The PBT is abit of a biggun as well. Although the emperor definitely has some growing to do even though he has nearly finished the colour transformation.

I know what you mean re: clown tang. He doesn't exhibit any of that "same swimming pattern" you see so many of them do so fingers crossed it stays that way.

Pretty cool! Is that second one the T-5s I'm seeing or is there an additional reflector attached to the Solatubes that I forgot about?

awesome tank... love everything about it. how much is your electric bill per month with all those t-5s? and how do you keep so many fighting conchs alive with a blue throat trigger?!? lol thats amazing!
