A Few of my SPS

Im in NJ..bit far lol. If you were interested in throwing out your opinion, I could take a current video of my tank to show you my current layout

Very similar numbers to me. Salinity 1.024 Phos is just below.015 Alk is steady at 9.2 - 9.4

Very cool!

Thank you, Steve.

great looking tank!
how long has it been set up?
im also curious about how you stack the rocks.
do you have underlying structure aids or are you simply stacking the rocks?
try setting the camera to fluorescent lighting, you may get better colour rendition..
keep the pics coming, they are awesome!
oh, and what is that bright orange coral, lower left in new scape? monti?

oops sorry if these questions were answered, i only read the first page..

Tank has been up since Spring of 2008. Due to too many changes and the size of the SPS, it looks like a newly setup tank.

There is nothing underlying the rocks. Each structure was placed together with epoxy.

Old or new.. it's obvious you are a very gifted reefer.
Please keep the pics coming

I've sent you a PM.

Very nice work with this tank. I've got a couple of related questions: how much (grams if known) of Rowaphos do you use in your reactor? What is your typical phosphate level? Many thanks.

Awesome tank!

Thank you!

Thank you. I'm sorry, but I won't be able to provide per grams because I pour the Rowa Phos directly into the Two Little Fishies Phosban Reactor which I am using. Measuring from the bottom of the reactor including the black foam pad and the Rowa Phos. The total of both the pad and Rowa Phos meet the bottom line of the label on the reactor. Not a very good and precise answer to your question, but I hope that helps.

A few months ago, my phosphate level was really high. I believed it was 0.3+. My tank has roughly 180gallons of water. The recommended dosage on the label indicates that I should use 250ML. However, based on the discussions that I've read and advice from a friend, I only used 1/2 the recommended dosage with my initial usage. Thereafter thru now, I am using as I've described above and would change it out once a month regardless of what my Phosphate reading is. For the passed 2 months, my Phosphate have been 0.00 using a Hanna. I'm trying to bring it up to 0.03 as this is the best level recommended by many.
