A few of my SPS

Beautiful corals and display mate, those last two tank shots are just SPS yummy :)

This is one of the prettiest growing acros i've ever seen, is that the one you called the green dragon because i like it a lot more than the purple ones. You can see all the inner detail with that nice pale green pigment. Just beautiful

Love FTS, very beautiful, your SPS species are very rich, I want to have every.:inlove:
Thanks, very much.

watchguy123 - Just spectacular. What an incredible fts. Amazing, amazing, amazing!
Thank you, it is starting to fill in pretty well since my do over about 11 months ago.

polywise - Hi Greg,
post 236, RH side view -- I had to take a double take.
I said to myself "lucky oldude" man that tank has some massive front to back dimension- seeing 4 vortec's on the short end of the tank. It took me a bit to see where the reflection started.
as always - beautiful tank you have there

Thanks, yeah the reflection off that front glass can be a bit deceptive.

Thanks for the compliment! Yes that "green dragon" is definitely one of my favorites, it's a rather unique piece.

reefmutt - +1
That fts is flabbergasting!
Thanks - I had a few months with minimal light in a few place areas due to some bad ballasts but the new lights are making a difference and things are starting to color back up.

Wayner2 - Really nice Greg, I would really like a frag of that crazy yellow acro and the Hoeke
Thanks Wayne - yes you are overdue for a visit :) so swing by one of these days.

I wish I could 'swing by' myself.
Too bad I'm 3000km away and have no tank..
when it's back, I'll be visiting!

Too bad you don't know what Arco the yellow and red polyp Acro is! I've been looking for it's name for a while now. I got it a bout a year ago from Extreme Corals.
If you ever find out what kind of Acro it is I would love to hear it!
Greetings Youri

I believe it is acropora kosurini - at least that is the closest match I can find for the skeletal corallite structure - here is a link.

http://coral.aims.gov.au/factsheet.jsp?speciesCode=0677

If you compare the skeleton picture in the link with this picture below they are a close match. That said in the Corals of the World book it shows a different skeleton picture which in my opinion looks even closer.

Awesome! I could sit in front of your tank for a whole day just staring at all the different corals. :)

Apologies if its mentioned somewhere in the thread, but what are you running in terms of filtration?

-GAC/Carbon? If yes, which brand are you using?
-GFO?
-Purigen?
-Any other forms of filtration?

Many thanks.

Awesome!
I've said it before but I'll say it again, that 'green dragon' blows me away!
Your tank is that big candy store and I'm that little kid with his face pushed up against the glass!

Thanks very much!!
I run a bit of "ROX" carbon to polish the water and absorb any toxins but I am not running GFO. Other than that my filtration consists of a skimmer & live rock.

Awesome!

Thanks - that green dragon is a fave of mine.

Great update Greg colors are more vibrant everytime. .
Thanks - Having trouble keeping my alk levels up so hopefully when I get the parameters back to where they should be things will improve at a faster rate.

I am having some issues with my "strawberry shortcake" - it's been suffering for several months. The outer growth seems healthy with polyp extension and new growth encrusting but in the center there is some die off and some of the corallites turning a greyish color. Any ideas what might be causing this? No other corals in the system have these same symptoms.

Mine likes to randomly brown out and then take months to color back up only to brown out again, haha.

That's weird though Greg

I am starting to think it might be a bacterial infection so I am going to do a anti-bac dip ASAP and see if that helps.
