a simple sps tank

Thank you so much msudiver, really glad you like it!Means a lot to me.
Sorry for the late response.

I used fauna marine scape foam and it did an awesome job.
The epoxy parts that shows in the photos are there just to cover the exposed foam(due to the fact that fish can easily eat it) not to hold the rocks together.

Thanks again for your kind words

Looking good Mike! That last acro looks sweet! Looks like little lights growing all over that acro! :D

sneaky mode :)

Guilty as (will be :) )charged guys!
So i'm on a sneaky mode(biggles buddy be gentle lol ) for almost 3 months now with an achilles tang.
Sometimes when you want something really bad,it happens against all odds.
I was told to expect an AT in april.
I stayed sillent guys cause every time i say that something good happens I and I alone, jinx it(lol)
So only a few weeks after 8ball died(rip) i was lucky enough to have another achilles :bounce1:
The downside was that he wasn't quarantined from where he came and i didn't know if he was eating.
Getting him to eat wasn't a problem but ick SURE was!At last he is clearing up almost completely.

When he came 24.12.13(don't mind mad23,it's my LF nickname).Don't have a date cause it's a mobile pic

After a few days in the tank

After that the pita(especially when you dont quarantine a fish) known as ick started...

croped

But in the last few weeks he is doing ok,hanging out with quasimodo(mystery)
His teardrop has grown a bit these almost 3 months

Having seen his ick outbrakes and still recover there is only on name i can think of for him..."big balls"...lol...BB(shortcut)

Also added some sand.
Cyano is still testing my nerves and "boiling point" :)

Again sorry for the bad quality pics guys.
A friend of mine bought a decent camera and maaaaybe next pics will be a bit improved:)

You following the ways of the Bello and Biggles gang?...sneaky buying. Those two are buying many fish and corals at the moment...with their big tanks...:uzi: One day I will have my large tank.

"Big Balls"..."Mad23"....I am a little worried about you...

Anyway, I hope "Big Balls" recovers nicely. One of my LFS will keep a fish in his tanks for weeks if I say I want a fish and promise to buy it. He will make sure the fish is healthy and eating before he sells it to me.

:lol::lol:
I'm a bit worried too sahin buddy!

That's what i should do sahin but i had a hole in my heart(lol) and i took the risk.
I hope it pays.:uhoh3:

You know dangerous stuf about bello and biggles!!!
I'm worried about your safety buddy!
What are they up to now?

That's exactly why I'm sneaky!!! Sometimes...well, most of the times...:p

Especially with fish that you've been wanting for such a long time . I really hope it does well Mike, it's truly a stunner. I'd love to have one in my tank, but a 100g cube doesn't quite cut it IMO. Way too small. Remember I don't actually have a choice with my big Hippo.

Got to rush off now, but that's awesome . Hope the cyano reduces buddy, fingers crossed for you

So I got some time now :), how many fish do you have in the tank? I think with the minimalistic scape, it should provide plenty of swimming space for the Achilles, as well as being easy to catch if the need ever arises

Love the nicknames, especially Quasimodo

Really glad you liked the nicknames bello buddy!
Thanks!

Yeah, minimalistic approach is really making me happy for all the reasons you mentioned!
After all,i think the best aquascapes are done by the corals, when they grow!

Also glad you understand,my feeling about (me) jinxing my "love",and get in sneaky mode!

Thanks for crossing your fingers for the cyano buddy.
I'll use a stronger pump and feed even more BB and quasimodo,to see if there will be any difference.
If BB is done with ick, maybe i'll add a moorish or a blue line angel.

Hey buddy, did you start the tank with Liverock or deadrock? How much rock do you have in the system?

With regards to Ick, man I've always been lucky in this case. I know I have Ick in my system, because when I first added my Blue/Green Chromis they had Ick. But within a couple of weeks all my fish recovered. I fed them like 4 times a day with a VARIETY of flake and frozen foods. The frozen foods had either either Spirulina, Aloe or Garlic extracts.

I added a small Tomini Tang a few weeks ago. I noticed a few white spots on his fins, again, I kept up the intense feeding daily with a variety of foods.

Happy to say all Ick has disappeared and he is happy in the tank. :)

100% dead rock sahin buddy.
Went with that choice many times before but never had a cyano issue before.
And it started only after i started bio-pellets.

For the last couple of days i'm dosing daily, zeobak in the morning.
Just before the cyano makes it appearence and it looks like it helps a bit.(at least in my case)
Also started feeding even more and added a stronger pump in the reactor.
I'll update if anything changes.;)

I'm so so so so happy for you sahin buddy, regarding ick:beer:
Tomini as a really beautiful tang.Great choice!

BB is also showing every day, good signs that he will get over it.
I'll say no more...due to jinxing it terror:hmm5::worried:lol

Do you have the output of the Biopellet reactor going right next to the skimmer input? If not, try changing this at some point and see if that helps?

I might have asked you this before...but forget so easily... But what is the recommended amount of Biopellet on the package and how much are you using?

hi sahin buddy, sorry for the late reply.
Yes the reactor's output is right next to the skimmer from the beginning.
Things are looking much better with cyano.
Thanks one more time for trying to help:beer:

The recommended dosage is about 300ml(minimum) or 1200ml(max) and i've used only 200ml,just to be on the safe and slow side.
Even with that small amount my no3 and po4 are zero.

I am very happy you got an Achilles! AHHHHH YEAAAA!!!

Living vicariously through you.
:lol::lol:
Thank you jon, really really apreciate the fact that you are happy for me getting the achilles, buddy:beer:

He is almost 100% clean from ick,for the last week so i quess things are going to be ok(god i don't want to jinx it:worried::) )

Bump!!!! How is the new fishy doing? :fish1: Some new pics? Any sneaky Bello acts lately?
