any "old time" SPS folks still visit this forum?

Hey Gary,
I remember your tank being TOTM when I was just getting started here on RC 6+ years ago. Your tank as well as some other "oldies" inspired my venture/addiction into sps. Been hanging around on this board ever since... A one year much needed break has reinvigorated my desire once again in a smaller setup. Good to see you!
Regards,

Great idea for a thread! I never consider myself an "old timer" in the hobby, but I suppose some may consider me one.

Might qualify. Started with a 75 and a "trickle" wet-dry filter (not sure it worked so great) and eveually a 215 with three 400 watt MH, a giant dual becket skimmer driven by a monster pressure rated pump and a 1/2 HP chiller (not to mention +$350 on my light bill). The only designer corals were the Purple Monster and a Beckett Tort. After being out of the hobby for a few years, started up a 150 a couple of years ago with LEDs and all the "modern" stuff. Sure seems harder these days......of course that is just the memory going.

Over a decade for me. I agree seems harder now. Think we keep things to clean.

The forums are just a beating to me other then occasional search. Signal to noise ratio way to low these days.

yikes...just hit the 10yr registration date on RC! its good to see some familiar screen names still :). dave...i even remember your botwin stag awhile back :).
