Any tips for a beach trip? :)

Got tubes?
Hi all!

We're going to the beach for the first time (been married 2 years ;) ) with a fellow reefer on Thursday. I'll be taking my D50 along and I was wondering if anyone had any tips?

More than anything I'm worried about the stinking mist that always covers my glasses like crazy when I'm on the beach. I'm assuming a microfiber cloth and/or a little alcohol will be necessary. :)

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Brandon

I've got a UV filter on it, so that'll help keep the lens clean. Although I'll have to clean the filter just the same. :)

Thanks guys!

Try using black and white, IMO beach shots come out the best with B&W but I suppose that depends on what you like.

Take a lot of photos!

These are from Myrtle Beach, SC a couple of weeks ago.

You will get saltspray on your equipment. Just keep a dry cloth handy to wipe it off.

Great pics, man. I am VERY familiar with Myrtle Beach. :)

I notice you fly RC planes... wouldn't happen to want to buy any, would ya? ;) lol I'm trying to go electric (my apartment isn't well suited to 70" nitros). :D

Oh, and BTW, the trip was great. I guess I could post a couple of pics. I'll just post a few of my favorites. :D

This one just turned out cool. We stayed inside the Disney gates at the Wyndham there. This was a bus going by. I think that "Downtown Disney" sign was just blinking. :)

I need to change that to "used to fly RC planes" :) I love to do it but just don't have the time it takes to stay involved in the hobby. Especially with 2 reef tanks, photography, motorcycling, etc.

If you have some nice stuff to sell, shoot me a pm. I still have buddies in the hobby that might be interested.

Nice pics too!
