Anyone interested in some calcium chloride and magnesium chloride?

Who was the supplier on this? I need to get a 50lb bag of each, but can't find it anywhere (I have the jug of all-clear, but I REALLY need to get the MAG).

I got it from Harvey salt . They should be getting some dow flake in as well. they only sell it in 50lb bags.

That's cool. I don't really need the Dow flake at the moment, but I definitely need the MAG.

Let me see what I got left- I may not have enough for both of you but I'm not sure. Also if someone who hasn't picked up yet doesn't show up for it at the meeting that will be available for sale as well since I don't want to hold this stuff forever.

True, I'd love to get some Dow, but I need the mag a lot more.

Can I ask how people are dosing this stuff? I tested my mg and it was at 1,200. I was thinking I should raise it - my ca/alk are pretty solid right now. I looked at the calculator and it says 1,200-1,300 will require about 13 oz. Do I need to mix this with anything? I thought someone said I did, but according to the calculator - I just mix it with FW. It also says I can raise it 100/day, but that seems like a lot of crystals to add in one day.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I thought most people that went with this stuff were using Randy's two (or three?) part method. Personally, I use IO salt, so I am adding it to my NSW to bring up its levels when I do water changes, and then I just dose kalk for top off.

I mix with ro and dump in over 3 days.

Same here- just mix it up in RO/DI water and add it over a few days. It will last for weeks in a container so you can mix quite a bit if you want.

This stuff was order a while back and we mix it with fresh ro water or use randys diy 3 part reef additive.
