Yea, I just got two from there. They were out of stock, but he had them dropshipped direct from Coralvue and I got them in two days. Excellent service.

Is anyone else having a problem with the bulbs firing?

After running for over a month, my bulbs stopped coming on one day. I have to unscrew the bulb and screw it back in before it will light (the timer is working, and the ballast is coming on, but the bulb just isnt firing). I put in my year old XMs and the problem stopped. I am using a magnetic PFO ballast, not sure if it is HQI. 250 watt, mogul. Additional details on my problem found here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=7325933#post7325933

Just curious if this is happening to anyone else.

this is my frag tank....40 gallon breeder with 1 175 watt Coralvue electronic ballast....newest style with a 175 watt Reeflux Bulb and no actinics...yet

This is my 125, it has 3 250 watt Coralvue Ballasts...the two on the end are the newest ballast with the center one being the fan version (got the new one just havent put it on yet)...plus 2 6 ft VHO actinics

both tanks are side by side...heres a different look

also..I had a XM 175 on the new ballast and it took a little while to fire...timer came on...and it would slowly turn on...I didnt like the color and it grew cyno in my tank...so I finally got my Reefluxes and am very happy....Roy

God that is so pink!!!

I saw the Reeflux 12K at a LFS and they look great, I'm just curious about the amount of PAR they put out...

I run the reeflux 12ks on a magnetic ballast and I see a nice crisp white with a little blue. I love the look.
I have heard that the reeflux bulbs run better on magnetic ballasts instead of electronic. Opinions?

tsalter, how long have you had the bulbs running?
i have them on hqi's & i'm on 5 months and they are still strong

Not long two weeks maybe. Was having a horrible time keeping radiums lit. Gave up the fight and got the reeflux 10k's. Tried to get a 10 and a 12 to see the difference but premium was out of 12k's. So ended up with two 10k's. I am just happy not to look at the tank and see one bulb or both bulbs out.

I should have said in my post that the color in person is not exactly like the pictures...mostly crisp white with the coralline making the tank glow "pinkish/purple"...if u look at the last pic with the two tanks side by side..the frag tank looks whiter than the lone first pic...IMO...

I'm running 400W 10K reeflux on PFO HQI ballasts. They do look pinkish. The corals with pink and orange colors are not showing as nice as either the XM 10K or 20K.

I've been running 10000K reeflux's on a PFO magnetic ballast. I thought I'd try the 12000K reeflux's, but the bulbs won't fire-up.

The 10000K's continue to operate as normal. I've heard it said to just leave the 12000K's on for a while... that it might take an hour or more for the bulbs to fire-up when new.

Is there any truth or experience to this idea?
