anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

i know the guy who bought 40 and was selling them on e bay at a good mark up . i saw atleast 10 boxes crushed .. he posted a pic of them on here back on page 65 i think

my corals have never looked better in W1 mode with dial between 10 and 11:00 my sohal tang loves playing in the wave it makes .. very happy so far

Fish-street is pretty fast about shipping.
Mine was pre-ordered 3/22, shipped 3/25 and arrived 3/29.
I have read that other people get stuck getting into the US.

I ordered one on 3/22 as well, still waiting. Mine from 3/25 showed up 3/30 though. Pinged them again this morning to see what they say.

To each his own I suppose. Now that my tank is bare bottom, it is especially easy to see the difference in flow. Neither mode is powerful enough to keep all the detritus suspended in my tank (which is why I considered a second WP40 for my 75gal) In wave mode, the detritus is sort of scattered all over the tank bottom. In else mode it all collects in one spot.

Most MP40 users don't actually use the pulse mode, which I find kind of funny. I think the most realistic looking setup would be 2 of these pumps on opposite sided of the tank on a controller set to a long pulse anti-sync mode. Then you could have 5 seconds or so in 1 direction, then 5 seconds in the opposite direction. I think this would look cool, but I don't like how short pulse makes stuff wave so quickly. It looks like all the corals are set to a metronome.

You won't find them. Keep the topic on the product please and I have already discussed my opinion on fish street and jebao warranty issues as well as abysmal customer support.

Hey all question. I ordered 2 wp40 for my 60x18x26h tank. 120G. It will be barebottom fowlr. No corals at all and actually will depend on flow to get crud off tank bottom into skimmer. My question is will 2 of these be too much flow for fish only with live rock?

Will the fish be injured in any way with 3000+ gph x2 in this tank? I rather not get anything to decrease the output of pump if left on high wont hurt the fish.

I am confident your fish will be fine with 2 of these in a tank that large. I still think I could get away with 2 in my 75gal bare bottom, but I feel like siphoning the crud the collects in a pile in the corner a couple times a week is just as good. If I had all SPS coral or fish only, I would get 2 of these in a heart beat. I'm just not sure my nems and frogspawn would take to it well.

Awesome! I worried a clown would swim to near it and not be able to get away from its grasp.

Another question, i will be running on else mode def have no purpose for waves. Is else just a cycle of the different wave modes or is it really like a vortech reefcrest mode?

And will the fish be okay with else mode same as w1 etc.

It is similar to the reef crest mode. Reef crest on the MP40 smoothly transitions in a gradient between higher and lower speeds in a random fashion. Else mode on the WP40 also transitions between higher and lower speeds randomly, but it does it in a more...choppy fashion, as in it's not so much of a smooth increase or decrease in speed. It just immediately bumps up or down to the next speed. This makes the noise a bit more noticeable, but it's not bad at all.

No my clowns love it. They spend all day on the water treadmill.

I will be getting a second one for my 105 but they will not be running at the same time. The ONLY reason I want a second is to alternate the flow direction.

From some of the comments on here I am starting to wonder if the flow rate varies from pump to pump like Korillas.
2 running at the same time at max speed ,in my tank, would be like a cross between washing machine and tornado.

So does hooking one of these up to a controller give you the ability to ramp up and down the speed more slowly and get rid of the sound they make when hooked up to the controller they come with?

I put mine on a 40BR today, on the low setting. It's great! For me, it is the perfect amount of flow. I tried putting it on other modes, but it was way too much. Also, the obnoxious change in pitch with increase in flow was too annoying for me to leave it in any of the other modes for too long (besides the fact water would splash out of the tank). On ELSE mode, it almost sounded like someone humming a song.

Yes very much so. I am actually running a custom flow pattern based of ecotech reef rest mode. It maxes out at 80% and I can't even hear the pump standing next to my tank.
