anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

If you did a search in this thread using the search tool you will find your answer.

Thanks for your useless suggestion. As you could see I made the post from my phone using tapatalk which doesn't allow me to search the thread.

Steve, it's not that we don't want to give you the quick, easy answer. It's that we fail to understand why we should do the search for you? You do understand it's not like we all have this 110 page thread memorized. The answer will still be there when you get to your computer and can do a real search.

+1. I know this will not stop others from trying to get a quick answer without doing their own search.

I was not trying to be a jerk. I don't unse Tapatalk so I have no idea you can not do a search for it. I know the thread is a monster but that is what the search tool is for. But to be honest those request just keep growing the thread.

Sorry if this has been asked and discussed before but has anyone come up with a simple way to connect this to an apex? I'm running mine in else mode but would like to control the intensity of the pump.

For those who are interested in modding your pump to run with your own controller, there is a new thread started just for you:bounce3:

Every 50 posts someone comes along and asks the same question and it happens over and over and over. Not only do I get tired of repeating myself, I'm sure everyone else does too, but I get tired of people refusing to do their homework. I totally understand the allure of asking a question and getting an answer, but if you really wanted to know, you'd spend the time and effort to find the answer. This same questions was literally asked less than 40 posts prior than yours. There IS an answer to your question in this thread, we just don't feel it's our responsibility to look it up and find the answer for you. I also don't happen to know what the exact answer or where the post is, thus you were given a means to assist you in searching for it. It's up to you to find the solution to your problem.

I will tell you I believe it was bhazard that posted a solution, so maybe that will help you track it down.

Whoo, just read the whole thread. 111 pages in a couple months. My take away would be 99% happy owners, with no complete failures. As has been said, for the sale price and output performance of these pumps, you could replace one yearly and still be ahead of the curve.
My question is dose anyone have suggestions how to mod the magnets for 1" tanks? I seen one guy said no problem on his 3/4, but I didn't see reports on any thicker. I thought maybe someone that had one might have an idea how to get around the thickness thing. Thanks---Rick

I would say glue it to a heavy duty cleaning magnet overrated for your tank thickness. Or DIY with epoxy and neodymium magnets

Thanks, that's a thought, I have I think its a White Shark glass cleaner. I'll also look into the neodymium mags on ebay. Ideas are always helpful.

So wondering if the power head work on a MP40w ES Drive. Guy on my local fish club site is selling it for $20.00.

Initial reports were the WP25 is without magnets and suction cup only, so people were throwing around the idea of using Koralia or Tunze magnets to overcome this. Maybe an option if you can find some broken pumps.

I have a couple 6105's. They stay on, but it don't take a whole lot to knock them off. From what I have read, it sounds like these WP40's are more powerful. Would I only need a good magnet on the dry side? Thanks---Rick

I just bought 2 wp40's and tried one in my 155 and it seems almost too powerful. Would it be ok to add the second one. Also to those who run to what mode is everyone using and are you doing them on opposite sides of the tank? Thanks.

use 1 in W1 and the other in Else mode

So I ordered this as I saw someone post something like this earlier in the thread. Will this work correctly to control the pump?

Here are the specs:

Features :
Working voltage: DC9V-DC48V 6A
Control Power: 0.01-250W
StaticCurrent: 0.02A (standby)
PWM duty cycle: 3% -99%
PWM Frequency: 15khz

Package
100% Brand New
1 x PWM Pulse Width Modulation Motor Speed Controller Switch Dimmer DC 9V-48V 6A

Here is a pic

I received these today and hooked one up inline with the power supply.

Even at the lowest setting it runs the pump but it doesn't have enough to light any of the lights on the controller. If I turn it a bit more the lights come on and I can switch modes. I have it on the lowest gain that will keep the controller lights on. If I lower it a little, the controller lights go off and it seems to lose the mode it was on and when I turn it back up it defaults to H when it had been on Else. The pump is spinning even when the lights in the controller are not on.
