anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

I've had my WP40 running for about three weeks now - and it just seems to be getting louder every week. Maybe I'm being more neurotic about it, or maybe it is in fact getting louder. Wish I had something to test the decibels.

Take the pump apart and make sure that the front bearing is pushed in all the way in the housing. Had one that was progressively getting louder and turned out that the bearing wasn't seated properly.

after over 2 months of running this pump the sound it still the same .. can hear it sometimes ramp up and down but when the tv is on cant really hear it unless im standing right beside the tank where the pump is mounted ..

Mine has been singing the song of it's people since I got it a few months ago. Yesterday, I took it apart to clean it, pushed the bearings in, re-assembled and it's totally silent.

I kind of miss the music. :(

Here is a current video that show the flow from ONE WP-40 in my 48" 105 gallon tank. The WP-40 is dialed back to 19.5 volts and runs in else mode. The korilla is off in this video. It only runs every 10 min to change the flow direction a little until I get another WP40 to run in the opposite corner of the tank.

Super nice tank! You probably will do better with two WP25s instead of a second WP40.

Thank you. No I like the idea of having more flow if/when I needed it. Both pumps will be run from my Reef Angel and run at opposite times times to simulate tidal flow and couple times a week they will both be run full speed at the same time to "flush" the tank. I do this now with one and it works great. Looking forward to being able to 'flush" with two.

Heh, when I would reboot my RA both my pumps would come on full speed for 1-2 seconds. Talk about turbulent waters.

Mine do the same.
There is a brief second or two when the RA is rebooting that the dimming ports (at least) lose communication with the head unit and just go full throttle.

I don't think it loses communication, I just think it defaults to 100%. I could be wrong, but if it lost communication it shouldn't run the pump at all. It would have 24v power but 0v dimming signal.

Anybody having issues with the wave modes when running the pump below 19v.

The First wave mode pulse works fine but the other wave modes arent completing the entire cycle. The pump will actually shut off and stop pumping at the low part of the preset cycles.

Any ideas.

Is this a WP-40 or 25?
Are you using the stock controller?

I've had this happen with a WP-25 but only with a third party controller, like a Reef Angel.

My WP40 was running on an LED Dimmer for about 2 months at approximately 14v and it had no problems.

What's too funny! Really gglad you found the issue. Good job by you! Mine has been running 24/7 for a couple of months now and is just as quiet as it was after a week's break in time.

You might try longer or shorter cycle times and see if that has any effect.

Mine has been running on W1 at 18V for 10-12 weeks. I just tried W2 and W3 and they both worked fine. I'm leaving it on W2 for now and with the interval set at 9 oclock position (shorter cycle time). We'll see what happens.
