anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

wp25 or a use my current wp40 as soon as i get back in contact with the guy helping me order the new impeller through fish street for a 75g?

Have the wp40 and also tunze 6095's installed for more than a year. Tunze's are better all around but at the price, any issue with wp40 goes away, noise. You get what you pay for but over time, 3-4x is hard to justify. Great pump for the money.

maddmaxx You could do the classic tunze setup place each power head in the corner and face it at a angle that reaches the 22% mark and then the other doing the same thing, this creates a X in the flow.

I agree 2- 25's

I also agree. I have 1 wp40 on my 92 corner and it's slightly too much flow, even on what seems to be the lowest strength possible(W1, with adjustment dial all the way to the right). On pretty much any other setting the flow is so strong that something is significantly bothered by it. The corner shape of my tank means that it's more compact than your standard 90 so that could play into it.

I was going to get a wp-25 but was worried that it wouldn't be enough strength and since there wasn't a huge price difference, I ended up with the wp40. Don't get me wrong though, I'm extremely happy with the pump overall. From price/performance perspective I think it kills the mp40.

I Had 2 wp-40s on my 92 corner and was great on about low to mid setting. Fish did get blown around if they swam in front of the stream. Now I have 3 on my 110 tall 48x18x31 and think I need one more they are all ran on full wave mode. I dont use sand so nothing gets blown around.

Woah I cant even imagine trying to make 2 of these work with my tank. Ofcourse I have no sps, a sandbed, mostly lps/softies, and I'm pretty sure Im using a little less than the normal amount of rock.

This is a pic of the corner and I did have sand at first but slowly removed it and made the switch to sps. With more then average live rock

Question, for a 40 gallon bare bottom SPS frag tank, do you think a WP40 dialed down would work, or am I better off with a single or double WP25? No sand storm concerns.

I would go with a 25. It will be more than enough flow and be smaller. Dialing down a WP40 wouldn't make sense... in my mind, at least.

What is the recommended replacement powersupply for a WP40? Or one everyone has had success with?

I am starting to think that is the root of my issues. The WP25 is doing well on my 125, but I could use a little broader flow.

If you think the power supply is the problem try swapping the power supply from the 25 with the one from the 40 and see what happens, before you spend the money on a new power supply.

They are interchangeable.

I'm wondering if I'm crazy after reading some of the above posts. I'm running two korolia 750s and wp40 in else mode in my 90. Could I have two much flow on my mixed reef? I was going to take out one of the korolias and adding a wp25.

I agree 2 of the wp25s would be perfect in a 90

I guess it depends what you are keeping. I have a Tunze 6105 and two WP40s in my 4'x2'x2' 120. I have the Tunze and one of the WP40s on rotators that I built so my sand actually stays put!
