anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Any thoughts on having 2 of these in my 75, Ron? As I said, I have an MP40 and I am quite familiar with its capabilities, and I really think my tank would be fine running 2 of them. I'd probably run then on the equivalent to the reef crest or lagoon setting. Since they wouldn't be synced I imagine sometimes they'd both be going full blast, sometimes both would be dialed back, and sometimes 1 or the other would be going full blast. Sounds like some awesome random flow to me.

Just got my pumps today. That was pretty quick, 5 days. The shipping cost makes sense for that speed.

I probably won't have time tonight, but should test them out tomorrow. I might even try to Apex one of them tomorrow.

I got my second variable power supply so I just put my second WP40 in my 5 yo 92g corner tank. The detritus that got stirred up clouded my tank for a good 2 hours. Everything in the tank is moving or bouncing up and down:bounce3:. Both variable power supplies are set at 15V. One is running in W1 mode and the other one is in ELSE mode.

What are the dimensions of a 92gal, and what percentage of it's max flow should it be putting out at 15v?

Can you shoot a little video for us?

My tank is 34x34x48 and 22" deep. Corner tank presents a whole new challenge not only for lighting but also with flow. The back corner is the hardest part to get any kind of water movement as most power heads are placed on each side near the front. The WP40 allows the pump to point in any direction or 360 degree. I was able to point one directly to the lower back of the tank and that was why all those detritus got stirred up.

I love the 360 degree tilting. Played around with it while unboxing. Very cool

Well I think if you can get away with 2 in a tank of those dimensions my 75 will be fine. I think I'll put one where my mp40 is blowing along the back wall, and put the other on the opposite side blowing across the front. Hopefully the tank doesn't turn into a tornado. Haha

Here is a short video of my 92g corner tank with two WP40s running at 24V. The one on left is in W1 mode and the one on right is in ELSE mode. I have not adjusted the control knobs to get maximum waves. I know I can easily get 2" waves in no time if I just play with the knobs a little.

The second video is running both pumps at 15V and also interrupted with time out from my RKE controller. This combination allows much gentler and random flow as there are times both pumps are completely off and there are times both pumps are on but with different flow pattern. I think between the 6 different modes, variable power supply and my RKE controller controlling length of time each pump is on, I can practically have unlimited flow patterns!

You can run both videos at the same time to see the difference.

Well that pretty much sells it for me. At full tilt your LPS and softies don't seem to be struggling too much. As soon as I get the goo ahead from the wife (which shouldn't be too hard considering I'll make a profit off the deal) I'm going to order a couple.

WHAAAAAT! Sorry.

I just took out my two Vortech MP-40's and installed one of my two WP-40's on my 125 gallon 6ft tank. The one WP-40 is dead silent, and is making a wave that 2 MP-40's had trouble doing without making enough noise to hear across the room. My GSP on the other end of the tank is waving around like if I had a MP-40 installed next to it. This is unbelievable!

I'll take a video of it tomorrow, but it is exactly like how Simon's tank is... no joke. The 2nd pump will be the pump I try to get working with an Apex. I'm very impressed, and my MP-40's are going to be up for sale tomorrow.

The power supply I got from inside computer (90 volt) also goes down to 12v. It is probably the best option for speed control for these at $15 shipped, without using a controller.

Wow, Wow, WOW!

So now you understand what Tunze users have known for a long time. The next mod should be a wider flow, and I bet there are people here who can do it. :D

I wish I knew earlier. This thing is as strong as the Tunze higher models for 1/3rd of the price, and absolutely stronger than a single MP-40 without question. I almost don't want to hook it up to the Apex for fear of possibly losing the wave modes. Good thing I have an extra one to play with.

I set my power supply down to 12v, and one pump is perfect for night mode on a 6ft 125 gallon tank. I didn't even hook up the resistor to automatically do it. No need, plus the controller is going inside my stand anyway.

If I get it working with my Apex tomorrow, I will post a tutorial. You'll need a spare CAT5e ethernet cable, a 0-10v converter, and beginner soldering skills.
