ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

Ok thank you!

Done. I've left your T5's at 100% as you have a 4 tube unit, but kept your LED's at max 75%.

You are already using T5 and Reefbrites, so I think it will be ok for most of the corals.

But if you notice ANY coral lighten up, adjust the intensity of the LED's down. You can also decrease the total photo period.

My current lighting is reefbrite on at 11 am, t5 at noon till midnight then reef brite off at 1 am

The profile I created is from 1100 to 2200. You cant go beyond 2359 anyway since the software doesnt allow that for the main photoperiod. But you can simply adjust the profile to suit your needs. But remember it is a whole lot more light than your current fixture proves.

If you want to run your light cycle beyond 2359 then read the post I made in the previous page.

Hi there.

I created a light profile for you and emailed it a few mins ago. You asked me to create a profile which commences at 5pm and turns off at 1am.

The reason for posting this here is to let others know as well, that you cant program beyond 23.59; beyond that is only for moonlight.

You can of course easily deal with this by adjusting the time on your controller so the time the program is set to commence, corresponds with 5pm. Ie on the light profile I setup the program to switch on at 12pm, so the time on the controller clock should be set 5 hours in advance of real time. Hope I got that right...

Thanks Sahin,
I got your PM too.
Can't wait to try out the light profile.

As others have already mentioned,
your work and help is awesome, ubiquitous and much sppreciated!

All of the info in this thread is awesome! Unfortunately it has led me to order a 36" 8 Bulb fixture :) Can't wait to get it!

Thats awesome. Be sure to post some pics when you have it hung over the tank.

EDIT: Just be careful if this is going over an existing tank with coral, as the PAR from these units is crazy high.

I love my light I have the 60" 4 bulb. I'm moving though and have to sell the tank. Very sad so the light has to go. $1500 4 mths old

Hi guys I'm a soon to be Club member and was wondering if someone can help me with a quick question.
I'm a mac user but know the program can't be run on a iPad so I wanted to ether pick up a tablet or laptop to run the ATI program.
My question is can the program be run on Android or must it be windows?

Thanks
MikeC

Quick question about the light:

On ATI's site, it says that the 80w T5 versions cannot be dimmed - is this correct? I can't seem to find anything else to support that.

Must be Windows platform.

This is correct: for USA. In UK/Europe we have dimmable 80w ballasts that run fine on 230v and 50Hz frequency. There are no reliable Dimmable 80w ballasts for the US market unfortunately to run on 110v and 60Hz.

Since you had a T5/LED combo already, I feel that your corals will be better off than other tanks. In terms of PAR, your ATI unit will be similar, but with more light punched down towards the bottom and certainly a far greater coverage/area of high PAR. Ie FAR less shadows etc, these areas will be filled with light.

Start off with JUST the T5's to burn them in for a week anyway. Let the T5's run around 6-7 hours for 7 days. Then work the LED's in slowly until you are happy with the overall look.

I run my LED's and T5's at 100% for around 3.5 hours I think. And both are ramping up or down either side of that; I think I am running a 10 hour light cycle. Obviously if I didnt have dimmable LED's and T5's I wouldnt run such a long light cycle.

As for the T5 combo: FOR SPS Dominated

Front: This is a nice combo which I know works.

Or: For a lightly brighter look

Or: More "whiter" than a above.

Remember you have the LED clusters/channel to further adjust the appearance of the overall look.

For an LPS/Zoa dominated tank:

Front
ATI Blue+
ATI Actinic
ATI Purple+
ATI Blue+
--LED's--
ATI Blue+
ATI Actinic+

And then use as much Royal Blue as your corals can deal with, add a good measure of Blue and a bit of White light from the LED's. That will have the LPS/Zoas popping! :D
