Back after 2 1/2 Year Hiatus - New 225 on the way

Well...it has been a while so I thought I would post an updated full tank shot. The tank is approaching the 1 1/2 year mark!

Wow, Reefbum, that is some amazing growth. Any chance you can get a higher res pic, with the powder blue in there? Your pic before the growth is actually my current background.

Looking really good.

How is your battle with AEFW going? I've been doing the basting method and it seems to be working...if I recall you were using the basting method as well? and it certainly looks like your tank is doing "ok" :)

Wow that tank looks amazing i was looking to do the same dimensions but as a peninsular. Do you have any pictures down the backside of the tank, do you have corals growing back there as well?

It looked like you lost a large pink colony on the back left of your tank from the last 2 shots?

Looks stunning

Jason

WOW!

It looks like there is only one coral that isn't there comparing the 2 shots. Great growth and color even with AEFW's.

I guess I'm going to start to double dip with TMPCC and Coral revive/fluke tabs given your experiences.

Love the tank, I wish there were more like it!

Many thanks GSMguy, tommyb, ozkrogh, Ed Reef, samson78945, Bax, Aj Flip.

And thank you. Let me see what I can do about that high res pic.

Thanks Jason. Here is an older picture of the back. The rock is 3-6 inches away from the back wall and I only have a few corals back there. I really want to keep it open so I can get some flow through there.

You and SERVO are right about the large pink colony on the back left. It didn't make it through my AEFW infestation in the spring.:(

First of all - a totally amazing tank! Love your aquascaping - and this is such a great thread.

Like yours, the tank I'm currently having built will also have a thin sheet of black acrylic on the back pane. I am worried about being able to keep it clean. In every pic you post your background is immaculate. Would you mind sharing your method of keeping it so clean?

wow congrats on the tank. Your tank looks so nice i actualy made your FTS my wall paper.
I have a question about your tank. i am planning to upgrade again to the same dimension you have. what size drains are you running and what size returns. i am planning on running a 1.5 drain and two 3/4 returns. 1st one on the 2 foot mark and the other on the 5 foot mark.

Sorry to hear about the large pink colony it looked to be growing very well. :(

Thanks for the pic that gives me a good idea on the room you have on both sides on your rock work, i was thinking going a little skinnier on the rock work although my dream is at least a year away.

Keep up the good work your tank goes from empty to amazing in just a year that is unbelievable.
