Pegging is when you drill a bunch of holes in your rock work, that way when you want to place your Caps on a ledge you can put a 1/4 inch or smaller dowel on the bottom of the frag then place it into the hole in the rock.
I hope this is what you were asking. The method is currently in this months TOTM review.
Nice tank by the way, I just ordered the same set up from AO all though I am going to try out the ACLS units. They are spendy, I hope they are worth it.

The pegging that I was referring to involves making small holes in your rock with a masonary drill bit. (1/4 inch) You can epoxy your corals onto a piece of rigid air line tubing and insert the tubing into the holes. It makes it much easier to rearrange the corals if you need to or pull them out to inspect or treat them for problems.
From an esthetic point of view, you can easily place tabling acros and Capricornis on the edge of a rock or into a valley.

I just ordered two systems from Aquarium Obsessed a few weeks ago.
The one in my home is 60 Long - 35 Deep - 30 - High. Also I am getting the same lights only with 2 x 400 Watt MH. I know, don't hate me but I did spring for the ACLS units. We will see!
I have also been contracted to build an in wall system at a local casino here in California. It as well is being built by AO and it's 108 Long - 48 Deep - 36 High. As well it will have the same brand of lighting but without the ACLS. 6 x 400 Watt MH.
All the lights will have the T5's as well.
As I do not want to get into my project or high jack yours in anyway. I just wanted to say thanks. Now that I have seen your system I know I did not go wrong with this purchase.
I also am going to try to get them to do my overflow the same way, it looks pro for sure.

I really honestly have got nothing for you on this subject. All I can tell you though is that they look neat. I guess the principal behind them is to promote an environment as close to nature as possible. Also they say that having natural light balance like this which occurs in the natural reefs would promote spawning of various species. I don't know how much of that I would sleep on. It might be a waste of money but then again so is every other gadget we all spend our money on these days. If I hate them or feel it's a waste, then I will punt them on ebay.

Jamie- The external overflows have been great. They really open up things and allow for some nice flow in all parts of the tank, especially in the back. The lights have been great. I have a few frags and they are beginning to encrust and grow. My chiller broke down a week ago so I am not going to be adding anything until they ship me a new one.
Kaidenjohn- Thanks for the kind words. You won't be disappointed with your AO tanks. They do an incredible job and they are very customer friendly. I am really happy with the acrylic covering the back glass with grooves in front of the overflows. They had not done that before and it turned out exactly as I had hoped...they work great. Good luck with the tanks.

It is worth the wait.
Aside from my chiller going on the fritz, I also had one of the halides crack on me. I guess it is ok that these things happened when I didn't have much livestock. Temps without the chiller peaked at 82 to 83 so the frags I do have were a bit stressed. The new chiller is in place and the cracked bulb didn't do much harm so hopefully I'm back in business.
Here are some updated pictures.
I was told that this was a Purple Monster but I'm not positive about the ID. It lost some color when the chiller went down so it should color back up.

Lovin the tank. I like the spacing in the tank as it leaves good room for the acros to grow and plenty of swimming space for the fish. Any plans for a tang?

What's the coral on the lower right hand side that's green/orange? At first, I was thinking maybe a sunset monti, but I don't think you would put it that low. Maybe a colony of dragon eyes?
