Banggai cardinalfish Pairing behavior

I purchased two juvenile banggai cardinalfish and I was wondering if a maturing male / female would pick on a juvenile of a different sex. The larger of my two cardinalfish push the smaller fish away. There is never any contact it seems to be mostly posturing. During anytime they are spooked or eating they are fine with being in a closer proximity. In other peoples experience is this a good or bad sign?

To clarify, you have 2 banggai one larger then the other? My experience has been when they pair off (male/female), they have been very compatable. Females had a tendency to harrass the males a bit during mating but not really aggressive. For me, hard to sex the juveniles. A breeder I used would wait until they pair off and then sell them that way.

I have a pair with a pair of dottybacks and a bicolor blenny - guess who is the most aggressive fish in the tank. who chases everyone else around? It's the banggai female!
With my other two pairs it's the same - and they are the first to go after the food.
