That's one bad a$$ fixture. I'm sure your stoked!
Ho ho ho..Santa came early
Holy hell what does that light run?
That's one sexy tank and sump your build is re energizing my reef bug again as I've been slacking lately. Keep up the great build
Thanks Omar. Its going to be a while but so far I've accumulated some really nice equipment. Still need some things. I'm a bit tapped out at the moment.
I still need-
1. 3 x Multi Swirls
2. 2 x 60" Reef Brite Tech Blue
3. MP60 or possibly one of the newer Maxspect Gyres.
4. 200 Gallon Poly Tank- Tall Cylinder
5. Sand
6. Probably a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting.
Do you still need the reef brite even though you have LEDs in your fixture?
I'm also planning to get 60" reefbrites for my tank. With your experience with this LED, would you recommend going with the XHO version rather than the Tech? or please advise me the difference between the two. thanks.
Well I want at least one for the front side of the fixture. I guess I'm not sure if totally necessary but I'm a fan and I would probably just run it late in the evenings. The fixture is only 20" but the tank is 36" and although they recommend the fixture for tanks up to 36"... you know how that goes.
What ATI LED Powermodule did you get cody? 6 or 8 bulb? The 8 bulb should cover 36" width just fine, the 6 bulb may be a stretch. The LEDs on the fixture also have pretty good coverage by themselves and covered my 30" depth well too. Just depends on how high you hang them. I would say Reef Brites with this fixture would be kind of redundant given the LEDs in the powermodule already, but I guess it would depend on how many bulbs your fixture has.
