beer thread

ok...better. lol. Not sure where you are at...but if in Rochester, the Old Toad, along with an extremely wonderful staff, all from England and Ireland (and cute...oh, was that out loud?), have the most amazing beer menu...hundreds. By the glass, or bottle. My daughter and I love going and exploring new tastes...found some awesome beers that way.

Speaking of... after last night? Gotta hunt down some Banana Bread beer in the local stores. Not a big beer fan but that stuff was delicious! ;)

Beers of the World on Monroe...if not...Pittsford Wegmans. All in the same vicinity. ow, ow, ow...why are my fish so LOUD today?

okay, gang...here ya go...took Mel to the Old Toad for her birthday after yoga and we had this:

Heh... I'm glad I stopped with just one and actually amazed that I did considering how good it was. :D (Thanks again Kat!)

Glad I had some coffee before reading that this morning.

In the interest of beer, if people get the chance I highly recommend trying Well's Banana Bread Beer and Southern Tier Mokah. I dislike beer but enjoyed both of those.

Cully...most peeps can't make it through my yoga class....it's INTENSE. That's an 11oz glass of 11% alcohol content chocolate stout. Yum.

tell ya what...if you are ever in Rochester on a Weds. night...if you can complete my class and not fall asleep during the last 15mins of relaxation...the drinks are on me!

any good "Irish reds" that can be recomended? i have tried killians irish red michelob irish red and saranac irish red. the michelob was actually the best of the three, but i am always looking for others to try.

Brian Boru Old Irish Red
Irish Red Ale / 5.90% ABV
Three Floyds Brewing Co. / Brewery & Pub

or

Great Lakes Conway's Irish Ale
Irish Red Ale / 6.50% ABV
Great Lakes Brewing Company

my favorite will always be Killian's, however.

I can't wait to try the Southern Tier crème brûlée Imperial Milk Stout this summer!!! It has a June release date!! :D

We are not the harbingers of truth as some may suggest but it may indeed be argued that our brewing philosophy is tantamount to a dessert with a bellicose past. How, you may ask, would a brewery determine a likeness to hard-coated custard? Our response is simple; it's all in the power of history, and of course, the extra finesse needed to top off a contentious treat with definition.

By comprehending the labyrinthine movement of time, one would not think it strange to trace the errant path of an ordinary object such as a cream dessert only to discover that it has been the cause of cultural disputes since the middle ages. The British founders of burnt cream and from Spain, crema catalana, both stand by their creative originality and we respect that, but it was the French Crème Brûlée, amid the strife of contention, that survived to represent our deliciously creamy brew.

I'm more scared of the "yoga farts" than I am of the yoga itself. I'll pass. I'm no stranger to endurance sports and misery. I've done some yoga in my day as a part of various martial arts. I'll give it to you ladies. It ain't easy. Can't you just buy me a beer anyway.....:fun4:

And Cully... I'm sure if you drove out this way from Syracuse for a drink there'd be a few people willing to buy ya a cold one. Or... we could all pitch in for an ABC order, send Kat and have her deliver while she's out there. :D
