Well wondering how many of you SPS keepers use either 2 part or Ca reactors? also what other reactors you may be using to help you along with keeping the parameters in check.all intel is appreciated.

I'm using both Kalk in my ATO, and two part, the only other reactor's I have are BP's, one each GAC and GFO.

My best tank ran on 2 part. Very pleased with the blending of the liquid and the stellar results. about to hook up my first calcium reactor. Ask again in 6 months lol.

Running 2 part now but thinking of switching over to a small calcium reactor if the Vertex one is ever stocked up again.

I just went back to using kalk in my topoff after a ato malfunction a little over a year ago that crashed my tank. Have always used 2 part except a brief stint with a Ca reactor. I prefer 2 part because I feel like there is less that can go wrong. still on the fence about kalkwasser though as I love the benefits but hate how a simple malfunction can lead to very bad things. Some of my irreplaceable corals lost has made me very wary.

Done all three over the years. On a tank larger than 90 gallons with significant coral load, ca reactor is my preference. Cost effective and very low maintenance. Smaller tanks, I like 2 part. I prefer to use Kalkaska as a when needed supplement.

now what do you use to control the alk? if the Ca reactor is taking are of the Calcium. I have tried the 2 part with gfo and gac. Could never get a handle on the PO4 or NO3..

2 part, cheap, easy, effective and next to nothing to go wrong to nuke tank. Minimal equipment and upkeep as well.

AquaC calcium reactor for me. Tried all three. Won't do kalkwasser again after seeing my plumbing after 6 years of use. 2 part became too cumbersome to do on a large tank.
