Calistyle's 120G Peninsula Build

Wow. I'll check the magnets right away.

I'll also give an idea of what extra I'm feeding later.

I'm running ona few hours a sleep, w/ 3 week old baby, tired wife, and now sick 3 year old....All after a 12 hour work shift.

Sorry for lack of updates, nothing really exciting to report.

Tank is doing well, but I do not know what's going on with my SPS. I took my biopellets offline, hoping it would help and actually noticed corals bleaching a week or so afterwards.

I don't know if it's my lights or maybe even my flow. I do know it's extremely frustrating to lose the top 1/2 of my tank's corals. Slowly watching colonies of bubblegum millie, rouge millie, blue monster STN.

On the other side, all LPS are doing well. Jawbreaker is making babies and zoa's are growing and doing amazing.

I'll take pictures one day, but not anytime soon...ok maybe tonight so you guys can struggle with me.

I'm not saying it is but just throwing it out there, I wonder if the tank was ever treated with copper in the past. Have you tried testing for copper?

Good luck. Hope things will turn around for the better.

I haven't been will look into doing so. SPS only is having a problem and it's slow. First, colors seem to change then slowly die.

Have you tested your par?

I haven't, I'll try and get my hands on a meter.

Have you tested for ebola?

I've send samples of my water to a Dallas Hospital but they turned it away.

I bet its trace elements. Add some and add iodine as well. Made a huge difference for me.
Jeff

I do have trace elements and honestly haven't been dosing enough.

Could it be a salinity issue? My Marine Depot refractometer needs to be recalibrated every couple weeks. I ended up spending 8 bucks (way more than I should) on 1.026 solution since you get a better calibration than using RODI.

Going to test PAR w/ club PAR meter.
I'll double check my salinity next time I visit shop.

I've replaced my WP-25 w/ a MP40 (borrowing Cory's now, but picking up one from forum member this weekend hopefully).

I've also set LEDs from 8 hrs, to 6 hrs, while increasing T5s from 4 to 6 hours.

I'll wait a week or so and get a cheap SPS frag to add to tank and see how it adjusts.

Jordan don't feel bad bro the tank might just be still band new and your sps is use to some really aged water which is a possibly I lost all my sps as well during my move and I know it couldn't have been for the fact of really poor water quality because even though I hadn't taken care of my tank because of my absence but I think because of culture shock... just keep your head up send me a text bro I lost all my numbers
