Cube sounds cool.. 24"x24"x24" 3/4" Acrylic... Nice... 6x T5's :)

make sure you get a quote from Envision, he beat all the local prices for my tank(even with shipping included), and i am positive he exceeded the quality i would have gotten locally.

That might be pricey- I'm a cheapo like you.. I'd rather buy a bag of cc.. I will only have to use it in certain areas.

Nick- You got a # for envision?

LOL, I guess it's time to take out the shop-vac then! :D

thinking of going barebottom eh?

what grade of sand are you using currently? have you thought about just adding a small layer of larger grain size on top?

I've seen some pretty cool starboard setups, and some 'faux-sandbed' setups where people use epoxy resin to glue sand onto a bottom (probably starboard). I recall a thread where somebody was able to get terrain-like randomness with a faux-sandbed but I can't recall how that was achieved.

but I'm researching the same thing, since between my closedloop and tunzes, I dont know how the sandbed will hold up...

Great tank! I really like that rockwork, Nice job.

thanks bro.. I wanted to do it right from the get-go this time..

Hey Terry- I got a small bag of some aragonite/shell, Going to mix a little in with my sand & see if it helps.

Jeff, you want to place it on top of your sand. If you mix it, the sand could still blow up. Only $4.95 for the bag? Worth a try! :p

Holy detritus trap concreteman!

Seriously though aren't you concerned about that? I used to use something like that in a FOWLR and it would get really nasty. I did like how it looked though.

Yeah, That's what I'm worried about.. But there is so much current blowing over that even the shells are moving around pretty good..
It's a real thin layer as well.. Real thin, ex: If i flip over 1 shell the sand is right under it.. not like its 3" thick, screw that
