Hi there all, I have a problem. I bought a condy a few days ago, and he quickly attached to a piece of rock, and has not moved. He has been eating plenty, and the waterflow is great, but tonight I went to the LFS for an anenome crab, and when I got home, all of his tentacles were inside his mouth, leaving nothing but his oral disc showing. Looked like a butthole, lol. Anyway, I dont know what is wrong with him, he was fine when I left, and when I got back about 1 hour later he had morphed into this butt thing. He didnt move at all, still in the same spot, could he be stuck? I am really concerned, I have never seen an anenome do this. Ive seen them change color, shrivel up to the size of a polyp, but this is weird. Anyone know what is wrong if anything? The oral disk looks ok to me, Im no expert but it dont look discolored or gaping.:eek2: My perimeters are normal, no spikes, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and 10 or less nitrate, pH 8.4, calcium 450. Odyssea 48" PC lighting 260 watt 2X65 watt daylight and 2X65watt actinic. Any thoughts on what is wrong with my condy? Thank you!! T.S.:mixed:

Funny description. I suggest you just leave it alone, maintain good water quality and most likely it will return to a more normal appearance. And, no, it's not stuck. Whatever it's doing, you can trust that it didn't eat it's tentacles and it doesn't need your help to get unstuck.

Well he is back to normal, that was weird. I didnt think his tentacles were stuck, I thought maybe HE was stuck in the rock because he hasnt moved since I put him there, but I guess he just likes it there, coincidentally. Im thinking he ate one of my tiny hermits maybe? Because you couldnt see any of his tentacles at all and now he is back to normal... All of my fish are counted for, and all I can think of is he got ahold of something that he used all his tentacles to take down. Anyway thank you for your reply, and I promise Im not going to 'help' him..lol...
