Cully's 120 build

That is a sharp stand. I was going to get a stand from Joe, but as I was picking up the phone to confirm my order; my wife stopped me and blew the Christmas surprise. She has a stand and canopy hidden in the basement.

Its nice, but not as nice as Joe's work.

Thanks for the great input on ABC as well as your stand! I'm glad I found RC, as well as you local guys who will undoubtedly be bugged when I start my basement fish room in the spring!

hey buddy , not trying to critique but you may want to get a high quality stainless steel piano hinge for the canopy as that brass one will rust up pretty quickly . sucks but true . awesome build on the overflow and especially the sump , well thought out my friend

Yeah it's an issue. Joe said he gets about 5 years out of them. My last tank was going strong at 3 years. Not difficult to swap out. This tank will be getting a lot less attention than previous set ups. I anticipate less splashage.

How much room do you have behind your tank? It looks like the beananimal doesn't take a lot of room. When you get the chance I'm curious as to the total depth from the wall as well.

It's about 6.5" off the wall. It's a tad farther than I'd like, but...I'm used to it from the last tank, and the way it sets in a corner, the behind the scenes plumbing g isn't that visible. There are more benefits to having a little room. Maintenance is probably the number one benefit. That goes for cleaning and repair. Also aeration with fans. That little bit of space is nice for fans to have a little clearance.

No pressure....
I'm going to attempt a different direction.
We'll see how long it takes before it's filled with SPS

FIIIIINALLY! The key stone has arrived! My piece of acrylic from Avast Marine that will complete the sump's sock holder. Once the silicone dries, I can finish filling the system and flip the switch!

Yes, I get liberal with the silicone :D

hey mark ,in the future i know of a place that can do that in 1 day usually . they are in lakeland which is close by for sure .easy to deal with too

Thanks :) I know you do great work, you and others have defiantly helped me with your experience. If you head this way ever when your ready for coral gimme a shout!

STRUGGLING with a way to hang the Radions. The standard hanging kit will leave them too low. Just bolting them to the roof of the canopy won't allow them to cool appropriately. I've seen some DIY solutions that I'm not in love with.

If I can find some M5 x 8mm screws that are long enough, I may just drill a few holes and hang them by the screws only. It's frustrating. I can't have them too low for risk of salt spray getting in the fans. Too high, and they'll get too much heat from the roof.

Sounds like you are at a tough high - mounting height is 8" and up - can you dill a hole in the top that lines up with the fans so they can breathe?
