Ok, thanks for the info. I had TBS rock in a 120 once before some years back, and kinda remember it was heavy.
It's pretty dense - really cool rock though, I've used it in my last several builds.

Will be able to see if there is water flow from your camera. You should put a buoy of some sort on top of the sump so you can see the movement from the camera.
LOL, yeah and she carried the box she's sitting on.Lol Nice I see your project manager is inspecting the shipment!!
Ya that box was pretty soft, especially from the damp weather we've had but like you say it was packed so well. 5 minutes to unpack, and an hour to clean up all the packing peanuts.Looks like UPS abused one of the packages. Good thing that Jeff packs well (to put it mildly). I've never seen someone pack things as well as he does. That said, it makes shipping expensive. I think my sump shipping was $400 from what I recall. He probably spent $150 of that on packing materials...
My filter cylinders are coming on Tuesday, I'm excited to see them in person (and figure out how best I'm going to use them). Actually, I'm looking forward to seeing how you use yours (so that I can copy, haha).
Cheato!Dennis, sorry for the skim but what's going in there again?
ThanksEpic
Me too!Jeff did a great job on that refuge. Definitely a work of art. Can't wait to see the sump tomorrow!!!!
Head pressure, I assume.I really like how he setup the egg crate with the screw to hold it in place.
Am I missing something? The drain is gravity fed. Won't your refugium need to be higher than your sump?
Agreed, very smart for Dennis to get that added. I made the mistake of not getting one with an internal overflow. The emergency drain is definitely a must. I didn't realize it at the time, but without the safety I was basically running a Herbie drain without a dry emergency. Dumb, one clog away from a disaster.
I ended up drilling a hole in the upper part of the fuge and using a uniseal to make my own dry emergency.
