If it is an Orange Acro (no digi), I'm all over it.<a href=showthread.php?s=&postid=15685034#post15685034 target=_blank>Originally posted</a> by aquariumclown

Is that the Grape Juice? that thing has blown up since the last time I came by. How long have you had that coral for?

Well if something can go wrong"¦Still seeing that the acros were still not doing well I picked up some salinity calibration fluid to double check my refractometer. The reading I got from the 35 ppm calibration fluid was 30 ppm!:eek2: So I did a 10 gallon water change using higher salinity water to slowly bring my tank back up to 35 ppm. As of this morning the salinity was 33ppm and I'll do another water change tonight. I'm adding three more coral colonies to the watch list: Hawkins, Lime in the Sky and Ultimate Stag. Strangely enough, except for the Hawkins, the larger colonies do not seem to be affected"¦yet. Pretty soon I will have a LPS and fish only tank.:sad1:
Leo, got it from Marine Depot:<a href=showthread.php?s=&postid=15716850#post15716850 target=_blank>Originally posted</a> by aquariumclown
Hey Dan, quick question, where did you get your calibration fluid from? Happen to have any extra? I need to calibrate mine correctly.
Thanks Brian, I did read this article which prompted me to order the solution from MD.<a href=showthread.php?s=&postid=15719214#post15719214 target=_blank>Originally posted</a> by Dejavu
Dan here are some good reads on calibrating a refractometer. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-12/rhf/index.php
I make my own calibration solution and it works great. I have tested it against MD and there is no difference.
