DanW's 187 SPS Dominated Reef Journal

I would have a great time over there at CFM. Too bad we don't organize these things over here. Thanks for the photo's, always nice to see what's happening in other parts of the world when it comes to reefkeeping :)

I missed the show this year but I was thinking of you guys. I see the usual suspects were there.... show us what you scored Dan.

They are running some great deals. All inclusive stay in Disney for a week is less than $2000., I didn't think that was bad. As for the sea turtles, what they do there is pretty amazing. http://www.turtlehospital.org/
The Turtle Hospital sounds cool, that would be a great experience for the kids (and adults too). As far as Disney World, eh...I've been there and admittedly I'm SoCal biased but I'm an OG Disneyland guy. The DW's Small World is weak and no Matterhorn! Plus no humidity in SoCal!

Yeah, these events are pretty fun because although you exchange posts via RC there is nothing like hanging with reefers in person. Plus, in SoCal there's such a variety of corals and 5 major shows (SW-CFM, IE-CFM, Reefaplooza, Aquarium MAX, IMAC - West), I think we're pretty spoiled

My wife and I were just talking about this over the weekend. We also believe it could be that our favorite side in Disneyland is the older side which always includes a dole cup in the tiki room to get out of the heat :p

I was at Jimmy's booth looking at the Space Invader's; we were talking about you and he told me that you weren't attending but sounds like you had a great excuse. Fulfiling your Godfather duties is pretty cool and much more important. I'll try to get picts up ASAP but with work, EJ's baseball and the NCAA tourney going on it's kinda tough right now :crazy1: When are you planning on getting the tank back up?

Pirates man, that's the best because of the pirate talk, the silly anamatronics and the ominous warning "Dead men tell no tales" :fun5:

BTW did anyone else notice the look on Ian's face in the picture. Looks like he's being lowballed...again. Can anyone name (screen name) all of the sellers in the pictures? (Bonus points for people in the first two crowd pictures.)

Dude, I am excellent with faces but horrible with names. If I don't see or talk to you every couple of weeks, I won't remember your name when I see you. If you noticed, my favorite greeting was "Hey, what's up! Nice to see you again!" :D

Yeah, me too. I've got a little trick that I use with my wife. When I talk to someone that she doesn't know and I don't introduce her, she knows that I don't remember their name so she says "Excuse my rude husband my name is Michelle nice to meet you" Then the person can respond with her/her name.

I'm glad that this greeting is universal as we use it up here in Northern Cali as well except we add a "hella" in there

I need to steal that idea!!
