lol he has a whole garage full of stuff and ain't got room for a 10gal qt to protect thousands of $ now thats a good one ....don't have any space lol jk bustin your you know what bill

To funny. I keep mine in a closet. I put a timer on light for the closet just to give the fish a little light but the 10 gallon tank runs all the time with or without fish. It has a bio wheel filter rated for a 50 gallon tank.

Well I have yet another addition to my setup. Thanks to a fellow reefer and my buddy for the guidance and idea.
I decided to build this denitrator to battle nitrates and phosphates. The denitrator consists of a 35 gallon water chamber, two separate chambers to hold the methanol and strontium.
Hopefully I will have the plumbing completed tomorrow and the denitrator could begin doing its job.

Looks Great bill! However, you should cut the middle section down 1/2 way or put a few large 3-4" holes for circulation. When the slimy bacteria is covering the egg crate you will lose your circulation on the sides.
Also, how are you flushing the system? I dont see the drain or fill holes?
Let me know if you need help dosing methanol or need help making the strontium.

When the pictures were taken I didn't complete the plumbing yet. I completed that yesterday and will updated the pictures to show the plumbing.
You have a good point with the circulation, I think I will cut out a few holes to allow for easy circulation.
Matt was going to give me some of his bacteria but first I needed to by the methanol. Were should I purchase that?

vp racing, they are in fort laud. product is called M1 (pure methanol) I think they sell 5 gal for $55.
It's WAY more than you need! You should immediately cut it to 50% with RO water. Methanol is VERY flammable and will also degrade certain plastics. Matt, Marvin and I dose it at 50%, seems to be ok with tubing at that concentration. It becomes completely nonflammable at about 25% if you are concerned.
I'm down to about 1.5gal of the 50%methanol mix, so I will share some of the cost if you buy the 5gal bucket. Alternately, you are welcome to stop by and get some of mine to get started.
What are your nitrates at? I can help you with dosing when you are ready. Just PM or text me.

Not sure i understand what you are trying to say here.
The tank is 8' long in the wall.
