Deeznutz Hd 120 Shallow rimless (Pics)

Thanks man. The floor leveller only needs a few hours to set. I left it for a few days due to my laziness. The tiling took a day and the grouting took another day. She's ready to go!

Update time!!!

First off, I hope all my Canadian friends had a Happy Canada day and all my American friends happy 4th of July!

So the last few days have been pretty productive.

My wife was nice enough to help me prime and paint the walls last night.

I ended up staying up late to finish all of the wiring. Finally have useable outlets
and they are protected!

This morning I was able to take the wife and kids to the farmers market for some breakfast. I picked up some 5" baseboards on my way home and I got to work.

Today I finished all of my baseboard and window trim. Build my sump stand and my work bench.

I also have most of my plumbing fittings. Just waiting for my spa flex to come in. I found it locally for 1.00/ft. I sure hope I got all of the right stuff.

This darn fish room is way over budget lol.

Here are the pics, enjoy.

Until next time :spin1:

Thanks man, doing it right is painfully slow lol. But this is my last fish room, so I dont want to have to go back and regret things later down the road.

As for the ceiling, I was going to dry wall it, but I thought about the future and the pipes and electrical. I think it's something I want to have access to all the time. Once the plumbing is done, I'll be installing a drop ceiling to keep things accessible.

This build is full steam ahead right now. Im just waiting for the spa flex and my Reeflo snapper/dart gold pump to show up :celeb1:

Hopefully I can get her wet by this weekend :bounce3::bounce1::bounce2::bounce1::bounce3::bounce2::bounce1::bounce3:

What a great build and a joy to follow. Just bedazzled by your planning and meticulousness. The house remodel on the first page blew me away. Anyway, enjoying your build and your writing.

build is looking great!

Thanks man.

That darn fishroom put me back a few weeks lol :uzi:

I need to stop looking at this thread. I'm super jealous!

Lol, thanks man. Please continue to view my thread and contribute to the build as it progresses. :hammer:

We all get the enjoy the build experience while I get stuck with all the manual labour and the bill :D

Cheers

I didn't end up getting my return pump this week, so the build didn't move forward as intended. On a side note, I did get my sump stand and work bench topped and painted. I still have to trim the edges of the tops but I'm sure that
can be done at another time.

Pump and remaining plumbing pieces should be here this week. I hoping to get her wet by this weekend.

Not sure if this is a concern or not but have you considered distributing the weight of the sump across more tiles? I'd hate to see you put in all this work and have a tile crack! Aside from that everything looks awesome, can't wait for the day when I have the money and space myself!

Thanks for the advice. I may add two more feet in the front to be safe. The back of the sump stand is tied into the wall. Legs are there in the back to help support the weight. Having a cracked tile will be very upsetting lol.

Nice job with the tiling!

Thanks man.

Did u ever trim the upstairs base of the tank. If so what did u go with

No I haven't as of yet, it is in the works though. Just waiting to have it installed :)

White Quartz that matches the kitchen. Its either going to go over the whole exposed top like a counter top or just trim the bottom of the tank. I've left it up to my quartz guy to make the decision. He's into fish tanks as well and he's got a good eye for it.
