Deeznutz Hd 120 Shallow rimless (Pics)

nice update and nice looking house.i like how u mach the color of ur stand to match the motif of the house.

Thanks so much for your compliments.

My wife made it clear to me that the tank has to match the house decor. Besides from all the dust, noise and spending. She's been pretty happy with it.

This build should be on a modern living magazine or upscale reef keeping digest lol. Love every aspect of this build. Great pics too

Thank you!

It's funny you say that because the wife and I spent months going through modern design websites and magazines for inspiration for this remodel.
From all the positive response we've received from friends, family and now fish forums we are quite pleased with everything.

The tank is going to be the icing on the cake imo! I just love the idea of it being the focal point the house. Especially being the first thing you see when entering the home.

I wish I could get some sponsors for the lighting for this tank :) Ecotech or ATi would be nice

I wish I had the money to do 4 x Radions or 2 36" ATI Power Module hybrids!

The sunpower going to have to do for now :sad1: Still a great light though.

Now I'm following this on 2 forums... Keep up the good work, and thanks for some remodel inspiration!

Thank you for following eh! If you need more info on the remodel, let me know. Houzz is a great site to visit for inspiration ;) Too much inspiration actually.

We decided to do a dark kitchen design and then changed to a white kitchen design. At the end of the day we couldn't decide on a dark or light kitchen, so we ended up with a half dark, half white kitchen design to comprise lol.:love2:
At the time it was a very risky and potentially costly mistake if it didn't turn out.
But we are really, really happy with it. Only wish we put skylights in after the fact. And a double oven, and a 36" range, and a built in fridge etc etc lol

It is a great light and you'll grow a nice reef with it. Be careful, you don't want to sound like the guy who's grumbling because he could only afford the A5 when he really wanted the A7 :eek1:

I actually wanted an S5, but the gas is too much. S5 is a pig on gas :eek1:
A5 is everything and S5 is except the 3.0 supercharged. I prefer turbos anyways.

I don't fit the demographic for the A7, plus I wanted a 2 door coupe again :D

Age 55-65
Loves technology
Income 200-300k annually
:sad1:

If you did that list.. Well we could burn my money for heat.. And spend yours freely! :)

If I went through with that list I'd be divorced with no money. The cost of built in fridge, double ovens and 36" ranges is ridiculous.

I wanted to find out what camera and lens (and flash?) are you using to take those photos. Thank you!

fantastic build - looking forward to following along and watching the progress. dave

Thanks Dave, I'm glad you're enjoying the build ;)
It's taking longer then anticipated, but we will get there eventually. Gotta do things right the first time. I don't want Mike Holmes to show up and tear it all out. lol

No problem, I'm using a Canon 5dmk2 with 24-105l lens. As for the flash it's a 430 ex2. I also use a 100mm marco from my fish and coral pics.

BTW I got your pm :)

I would and I did lol.
Wife wasn't happy when I came home with it lol. It could have been worse and I could have upgraded to the MK3. But I value my life.

Hey, still waiting for that cheque. I've been checking the mail everyday. lol

See what had happened was I spent it on a new macro lens and realized u had one so I kept it lol

Not reef material, but would love to see some pics of the rest of the house. Amazing project ... trying to steal some ideas LOL

Omg, your build is amazing! The level of detail you put into everything is so impressive. I hope you're able to put that big screen tv and a big couch in your fish room. And get a mini fridge for the fish room, screw the fish food, use it for beer!

Thanks for the compliment man. I'm trying to document the build as closely as possible. I'm not usually this organized, but hey, this is my first RC thread :)

As for the big screen, I have a 47" I'm going to put up. Not exactly big screen, but a decent size considering the room size.
I won't have any couches in the fish room either. It's only 14x8. Sorry I couldn't accommodate those things, but a mini fridge is do-able :)

Slight update"¦

So this weekend I got a lot done. I put together my daughter play-set finally. Its been a project that had to get done before i could do anymore fish stuff.

So 8 hours after starting to build it I finally got it done. Not bad considering it say 8-10 hours with 2 people. :smokin:

I know it's not fish stuff but I'm proud of it and my daughter is over the moon happy about it. I've always been handy and I have a couple of buddies that got the same one. After doing it I had a new found respect for them. That is, until I found out they paid someone to put it together for them lol.:headwally:

PLay gourd come in about 700 pieces. Real PITA to be honest, but at least its done and out of the way. Now it's on to fish stuff.

I've so far had a chance removed the phone and cable plates. I filled them in and mudded it. Going to sand and paint the wall this weekend so the stand can go into place and the tank can finally go up onto the stand :bounce1:

Until then my friends
