DIY LEDs with Radion Pro G2 pucks?

Yes I do see how it gets confusing. 1 puck, I do have both but I'll save the second for a spare or a 20 frag tank. Just ordered some bridgelux Vero 10 to try as well

A little look on my fixture :-)
I've finished it. I'll try it next days...

Lot of câbles for 4 pucks...

Only two plugs : one for power and a rj45 for dimming

Very nice clean build, just curious about the methodology behind the fan placement. Are those fans blowing down or up? I was under the impression fans should be blowing onto the heatsink to keep it cool. Is your method to removing warm air by blowing it down and out of the housing? Just curious as I'm getting ideas for my next build.

thanks

I am reading the threads, Has anyone purchase the extra Semileds Leds and soldered them to the G2 PCB's using a hot plate? Would I need to remove the 0 Ohm resisters if I add LED's? Would this work?
I have 2 Radion G2's and it appears the pads are on the PCB's for the extra LED's. I would like to upgrade them myself. It seems like I can do 2 fixtures for about $90.00.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Tony

Cables and Connectors for LED Power

Any of you guys looking at building lights with these pucks, I HIGHLY recommend that you get with djmx2002 and order cables through his buy. They can be made by hand but I've had to redo mine twice because the crimps don't hold quite right. These premade cables are well worth the few extra dollars and will save a ton of headache. Krazie :jester:

I'm not sure how many conductors you are looking for but I found these available at a great price and they are fully waterproof(except the ends connected to the Driver and LEDs). There are a lot fo options for this kind of cable. The ones I linked are for 8 conductor(4 strings) at I think 24 Awg. I calculated that for my 30 CREE XT-E @ 1 Amp that 24 AWG is the correct sizing. There are 2 separate links ... 1 for the cable that runs between the driver and LEDs and the other for the pre-wired connectors at each end. Very convenient and has the nice finished look people are looking for.
