DIY Natureef Style Denitrator Build and Data thread...

I've been doing this a long time and mine are between 8-16. you should dial your strontium dose back, that is an unhealthy level....
W/C should help bring it down...
You may want to stop your Stontium dose all together until it gets down below 16....

how do you test your strontium levels?

Will be joining the club soon. Picked up my new denitrator from Matt D. Yesterday.

Can't wait to get it going.

Thanks, Matt was kind enough to offer. May be a month or so before I get it on line

I have been running the natureef system for about 9 months. Currently my nitrates are around 5ppm. But I am still having phosphate issues (usually around 1.0-1.6). In the last couple of weeks I have notice a large decrease in macro algae in fuge, and within the last couple days tha bacteria in the natureef chamber has been falling off the walls of the chamber. There is now a bed of around 1 inch deep of bacteria. The bacteria is still the same color as it was on the walls so I am assuming it is still alive.

I will note that I have been running GFO and carbon, but at a slow rate. Two BRS RO containers (both about half filled) on system that is around 400 gallons total volume.

It happened to me a couple of months ago, the feeding line was disconnected while cleaning sump and noticed it 4 days later. Make sure everything is working properly.

How many flushes a day are you doing and how long are you flushing each time?

I will check to make sure it is dosing both nitragone and phosphagon

how much are you dosing of each?

I have the natureef system as well and run the large reactor. My system is about 500g twv and I am doing 4 flushes a day @ 45 mins each flush. My no3 is 5-10 and po4 is .04-.06.

I will have to check. Not real good with programming it. Wish it came with any kind of direction or have the company respond to emails at least. I emailed them a couple times and no response

Send me a pm with your email. I'll try to send you instructions on how to adjust the doser.
