I am proud to announce that the Coral Farm and Divers Den facility expansion is underway. Our plans to double our current space have been finalized and construction is now underway!

An all-new 2000-gallon coral quarantine system will be installed that will enable us to bring in even more corals from around the world. Along with this we will double our space for our Drs. Foster & Smith's Certified Captive Grown Corals, as well as double our holding capacity for rare fish offered in the Divers Den section of the LiveAquaria.com web site. We are shooting for completion of this major undertaking by April 2007.

sidd129,
The expansion project will give us more than double our current square footage, and will double our holding/grow out capacity. Once all said and done, we will have almost 20,000 gallons of water in the facility. After the project is complete, there will be a total of seven separate holding systems, all with their own independent filtration, on a natural gas powered backup generator.

Mark,
As you are probably aware, our facility is not designed nor intended to be open to the public. During the weekday our entire staff including myself, is focused on acclimation of incoming shipments, husbandry, propagation and the packaging of outbound orders for our customers.

We do however hold tours for local schools in order to try and help children become more interested in marine sciences and coral reef conservation. Along with this, we have in the past, arranged tours for local aquarium clubs/societies over a weekend.

Once a year, we do open the doors to the public during our annual Drs. Foster & Smith Coral Conference and Frag Swap. The 2007 event will be bigger and better than ever and will be held June 29, 30, July 1. I hope you both can make the event in 2007!

Sincerely,
Kevin Kohen

Thanks Kevin.

Some of our reef club has made the prior conferences, said the facility was quite impressive and the people great. I hope to make it this summer.

Take care w/ the Monti you're sending out to me tomorrow. :D
