dvanacker's 200g SPS tank......

Thanks guys......TOTM is calling me one of these days...hahahah :deadhorse:

beautiful as always

you grab one of the yellow aussie torches from rr?
Hey Dave. How goes it. Yes I did, just today. Awesome. I also got a kendari one that has long tenticles....might even light that one better.

I'm I see your tank is consuming 320ml a day of two part. With that much have u considered going to a calcium reactor?

No....I tried it once and much prefer the two part. More precise. Although I would be worried about impurities in the salts if I didnt do regular water changes.

Tank looks GREAT as always! Keep up the good work, you have my vote for TOTM.

Above is great info. I am siting on a bran new Vertex RX6 calcium reactor & feel I am wasting money and I should hook it up. I am dosing 2 part at the moment & the tank is doing great with the corals growing like weeds. Your comment is useful in quelling my urge to set up the calcium reactor and potentially run into trouble with the setup. Input from a experienced person like yourself is invaluable. Thanks!

I should have bought the same dosing pumps you bought........I bought one for $500 bones and it stopped working after 2 weeks best I can tell.....alk dropped, tank went to crap.....lost a ton of acros....calcium reactor is back on as it worked every day without issue from 2003 to 2009...only on a much larger tank...

I always enjoy your updates. Always beautiful stuff.

Just wondering if you would elaborate a little more about this. Just curious of your experience, as mine has been the opposite.

..calcium reactor is back on as it worked every day without issue from 2003 to 2009.

My experience as well. Mine has been running since 2005 through today without issue.

Congrats dude. It's not surprising though; your tank is beautiful. How can it not get this accolade? Well deserved. :celeb1:
