Looks great Ed! I will also add 50+ Apogon when I can get them somewhere locally. Do you have issues with sand blowing around with the 3 streams in this shallow tank? That is my worry in my shallow, therefore it is still BB.
Are you going to change your lighting setup? Because most of the available light (from the MH) is lighting the bare sand in the middle of the tank.

Love the look of the tank Ed - Can't wait to see it come alive.

It fits. And you figured it out so fast.

This thread is fun because you waste no time. :D

Wow! This is great Ed. I love the aquascape. Btw, I ordered a 8x24W ATI Powermodule in Aquamarin Singapore instead of DIYing my T5 setup. Managed to get some KZ Fiji purples from Pro Coral in HK. Thanks for the info again.

I see an ATB in your future, it would be a lot less work than a new cabinet and keep the area around your tank clear. And you could get it in red to match your stand, sweet! :)

:D STOP GIVING ME IDEAS.... :p

ooooh and ATB Airstar pump to go along with it for my CL, maybe?? :mixed:

Hey Ed.... Might be a little late, but would it help if you put that sump on some sort of rollers? I understand thatd it raise the sump up a little. This would allow you to remove the collection cup, and disconnect the plumbing, while sliding out the sump. Even if its a monthly chore, you could clean your skimmer, and siphon out your sump easily. Not sure how feasible that is, but its an idea.

Mike may be right.... An ATB that can be fully disassembled seems like it is convenient.

NOW the ideas roll in

Will be great to be able to slide in/out the sump....really like that idea....oh well, maybe next build!! :eek2:

Thanks Leo..... too bad I can't seem to get those Apogon here!! WIll not give up trying thou' :p

NO issue on sand blowing. One thing I notice with the stream rocks is it prevent the pump from sucking in the water from above...!!

I guess the size of my sand also helps....

As for lights, 2 of my MH is actually over the Left/ Right side with the center open section lighted up with the 4 x T5 I have above. The open areas will eventually be fill with some corals (min) and some LPS and clams and still keeping it as open as possible.

Will post a picture of the plan I have in mind when I get some time this 2 days... :D

No problem - remember to let us know once you're ready to start your build thread :D

Great decision on the Powermodule!! Jane - aquamarine is a great person to work with!! Think of getting their grotech dosing system as well and go balling, if your tank is not too large!!

SKIMMER AT WORK

While I was taking my beauty sleep, my skimmer waste no time in getting to work….

Now that the skimmer is up and running, the water has become much clearer… will adjust the skimmer to skim wet.

Thanks Ed !

I lied, one other questions..are all your Tunze Streams the 6105 models ? :D

Thanks,
Chris

Nope....

2 x 6105
1 x 6201

On hand for future used:

3 x MP40w
1 x 6201
1 x Tunze Wavebox

Planning something similar??

:D

Nice progress Ed. I'm amazed at how the sand doesn't move with the Streams so close to the bottom. What am I missing?
